sub TV programme, 'Taarak Mehta ka oolta chashma' is a wonderful comedy but it cannot be called the best. if we take programmes only on sub TV. then programmes like 'lo hogayi puja iss ghar ki' is a much better comedy. then if you start comparing with other comedy serials, then there is 'comedy circus' on sony, 'baa bhau aur baby' on star plus or 'jassu behan jayantilal joshi ki joint family' are very light comedies but they they are very fine programmes.
now coming back to 'tarak mehta ka oolta chashma'. the writer as built many charcaters arround whom the story revolves. the most funniest characters are jethalal, his wife daya and jethalal's father champaklal. even tuppu is a funny charcater but he seems to be an over smart child. sometimes his character is a bit misguiding fr the kids who form he audience. his pranks are extra bold having a wrong impact n the minds of children.
about daya- the actress has a superb voice modulation and has acted very enthusiastically. suddenly, out of the blues she would start dancing sometimes it seems excess but still is fun watching her.
champak lal's role is also interesting. tappu ke dadaji is the role of a grandfather which ever child would want. Mr. and Ms hathi is another interesting family.
all in all the serial has a comic sideand has the capacity to make people sit and watch the whole programme and then wait for the next episode.
