Less chance. Go for tatkal scheme that opens five days before the journey date and pay a premium as stated by the Railway and rest assured you will get a berth.

try to get a seat in tatkal or try tocath atrain from Madras

This is a season time so chances are dim for confirmation , so the best thing is to convert your ticket to a tatkal. Tatkal tickets are issued 5 days prior to departure.
