Etymologically the term friend denotes a companion. But when we talk of friendship we mean much more than that. Friendship is a co-operative and supportive behaviour of two or more persons.
Aristotle said about friendship as “A single soul dwelling in two bodies”.
Friendship means common interest, affection, strong attachment to each other, loyalty, love, respect, and mutual respect and trust. It involves a sense of caring and concern to each other, a desire to see each other’s growth and development. However, true friendship never expects any thing in return.
Finally trust is life essential of true friendship. Where trust is lost in friendship, every thing is lost.
