Most important function of warm up is just to wake up muscles and connecfting tissue so as to get them ready for harder stuff.
I personally feel that after warm ups the body is ready to give its maximum.
moreover the movements are more smooth . and u have to make more effort to do a motion when u dont do warm up.
warm up is specially indespensible for gymnasts and athletes.
and also because ppl like me start to love warm ups.
if u r streaching u get amazing good feelings in ur mind.
