Teachers Day is celebrated in honor of Dr.Radhakrishnan.He was the person who was very much interested in taking studies to a much high level and he did his best till he was there.He was the believer of education and he helps every poor child in matter of studies.So in his memory teachers day is celebrated every year.

This is the Bithe Day of the then President of India Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan that the 'Teachers' Day' is celebrated. He was the only president who paid high tribute to the teaching community and honored the community more than ant other body or organisation.

teacher's day is celebrated india in the memory of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. who was a believer of eduction and became the president of India 1962. his bithday, 5th september is observed as teacher's day. it was his desire to celbrate his birthday as teacher's day.

In India, Today, 5th of September is celebrated as a Teacher's day. It is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (who was born this day), who was a staunch believer of education and was one of the greatest scholars and teachers of all times, apart from being the President (2nd) of India. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday is observed as Teachers Day in India as per his wish.

In India 5th September is celebrated as Teachers' day. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. When Dr. Radhakrishnan became the president of India in 1962, some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate 5th September, his "birthday". In reply, Dr, Radhakrishnan said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege if September 5 is observed as Teachers' day". The request showed Dr.Radhakrishnan's love for the teaching profession. From then onwards, the day has been observed as Teachers' Day in India.
