Hypocrisy is the act of preaching a certain belief or way of life, but not, in fact, holding these same virtues oneself. For example, an adult telling children not to smoke cigarettes, even though the adult smokes.
This affects a lot on one persoanlity as he will be judged as double minded person. He get a tag of saying one thing and doing one think later in his life. People do not believe such people and the person will not be regarded as a wise person in the society.
So I feel Hypocrisy to some extent is good that is preaching the children but should not be carried to a long extent in the life as it can affect one personality development.
