Personal Development and career development are closely related with each other. Career, that denotes one's settlement with a particular job is dependent on how one has prepared him/self for this. If he/she has prepared to the mark of that and comes our successful surely he/she will have a job or career of his/her choice. Therefore before settling for career development one needs to concentrate on his/her personal development, such as, elocution, smartness, politeness, courage to face any situation etc.

Personal development is directly linked with career development in many ways. It’s only self developed person that will be able to have development in his career. Now they have some differences as personal development refers to all aspects of one’s life, efforts, skills and aptitude. Career development refers to the professional skills and the knowledge pertaining to it. It’s a branch or sub-genre of the concept of personality development but plays significant role in one’s life. It makes or breaks life to large extent as good career brings all prosperities in life.

Carreer development is concerned with only the career, while self development is regarding the overall personality of the self. Both r different though career development includes self development too.

Career development is different, suppose if you are in software field, you should not be just like others just going office and earning. You have to refer many books and you have to take the latest and develop your skill in the latest technology, and try better promotion in your company. This is real career skills.

They are not the same but one leads to the other.Personal development is a larger format in which career development is a part.One is the Main and the other is the component.They are inter related. If your personality is developed your career development too develops. Personality development makes you have a clear vision and prepares you to choose your career in a precise way.
