What is Assumption? 

Assumptions are the natural thought process (both conscious and unconscious) of the human mind in which we are forced into perceive into reality with our limited, imaginary beliefs without proof and without considering the end result. It can be both good and bad. We can really get messed up in our problem solving and critical thinking if we continue to proceed in our actions based on invalid assumptions. We must always validate and test our assumptions to be sure that our assumptions are based in reality. We must always avoid jumping to assumptions especially if they are negative or illogical. Critical Thinking is very dependent on the open assessing, validating, and clarifying of assumptions. You're your dominant thoughts. Essentially "if you really want something and assume/believe it's possible, you'll probably get it" Your dominant thoughts will find a way to manifest your assumption, not plain assumption, but the assessed, validated and clarified one.

Imagining many things is called assumption, but in practical I would not sovlve any thing at times.

Assumption can be explained as a proposition that is taken for granted, that is, as if it were known to be true. It is a proposition that that can be applied in every phase and walk of life. It can be used to explain theories, philoisphies as they helps us to imagine a role model for any desired situation. Assumptions has also proved helpful in explaining any concept and have worked as tool in deriving any theory.

something that is accepted as true without proof is called assuption. when we work on assumptions then most of the times we make mistakes. suppose i assume that i would get the deal final by the next wek and stop working on it, then my assumption might fail and the deal might not strike. so to avoid failures or mishaps we must not work on assumption.

Assuming is taking a thing for granted in accordance with your thoughts and beliefs.

You are talking to someone who is considering buying a pet. For you the word "dog" has very positive meaning, since you had dogs all through childhood. So, you suggest to the person that he might buy a dog for companionship.

But does the word "dog" mean the same thing for the other person? That person may have been bitten by a large dog, when he was a child, and has developed a terror reaction to most dogs. For him, the meaning of the word "dog" (it's connotative meaning) is completely different from yours.

Now you took for granted or assumed that like you every body like dogs.
