start speaking.and if you want to develop your vocab as well.then normally people suggest reading but i would suggest writing is the better way.start writing your thoughts and whenever you getshort of words ask someeone for help. Read as much as you can which will increase your vocabulary . Above all have confidence. Try to be conversant in English in daily life with others and do express yours feeling, sentiments or even work through writing in English. For good spoken English...you can try any of the free sites you see when you type how to speak good English or tips on spoken english.

to improve poor english, one must get involved wiht the language. read an english daily regular,listen to the news in englsh and
try to read some books that give lessons on grammar and make it a habit to write evey day. once you become regular in these things then strat intteracting with people in english
you may have friends who are convesent in english, take their help, ask them to check you when you make mistakes.all this would surely improve yur language.

Try to speak the language whenever you have an opportunity . If you are at home then talk to yourself ( you can also record what you speak so that you can know your mistakes ) . Read as much as you can which will increase your vocabulary . Above all have confidence .

Practice makes a man perfect. Constant reading of good books and a conscious effort to avoid mistakes while speaking as well as writing pave the way for improvement. You could have asked ...how to improve English? instead of ...how to improve poor English? as there is room for misinterpreting what you have tried to communicate through your question.

Hi,
I knwo you will take it as I am teaching but I assure you that you'll be benifitted just have patience.
1. Start watching good hollywood movies with subtitles on.
2. Whenever you don't know the meaning of a word don't hesitate to ask or search for its meanings it'll help a lot and your word power will increase.
3. Read good quality novels, like sidney sheldon, agatha christie. start with sidney.
4. conversate with people a lot.
5. Later on when you start to get grip on movies stop the subtitles and watch them twice thrice etc.
Trust me it will help a lot. I am a living example

i think english is a language that cannot be learnt or translated ,so one should always try to speak in english always no matter its correct or incorrect.then one should read read good english books and always keep a dictionary to increase the vocabulary,try to learn few new words everyday and make sentences out of them.watch english movies and english serials and the best is to converse in english and dont ever lose confidence.For good spoken English...you can try any of the free sites you see when you type how to speak good English or tips on spoken english. ALSO, you should watch English language serials and films and closely observe what and how they talk. Its better if you keep the subtitles on for a while (if you watching a DVD that is).

Poor English suggests that you had elementary knowledge of English but don’t know its right application through reading, writing or speaking. There are some institutions that offer some courses and it will surely benefit you. Besides these formal methods, do buy Oxford, Webster dictionary and do get yourself Encyclopedia that will make you familiar with popular places, terms and peoples. It will increase your intellect and will raise your aptitude towards learning English.
