when a child moves from 5 th to 6th standard, suddenly the pressure of studies increases. science is divided into three subjects, then social science into two. with all this the burden increases. so the first possibilty is disinterest could be the burden.
the next problem could be grave, probably the child is underestinated by the teacher or neglected by the teacher in class. in such a case the teacher would show more attention to other students and thus the child is unable to cooncentrate.
now, there is a possibility that the sudents in the class have a lobby against the child which is bother him and he is unable to concentrate in studies.
then, in case there are family tensions that the boy is coming across then it could also cause a problem.
or that you specify- that the teachers language in a problem then the teacher is teaching in english and the child is not very fluent in tat language.
for sure the child lacks confidence, because a confident child would get up and ask the teacher to repeat if he is unable to understand.
now, you have to first find out your child's problem. spend time with him and talk to him about all his problems in school.
in case you find that the child has probelm with the students or with the teacher's negligence then go and speak to the teacher in detail about the issue.
it would be better if you appoint a teacher at home for tuitions. this would help the child drastically, because he would get individual attention.
