Society has really unrealistic standards that people r supposed to live upto..i mean the only people whose opinion SHOULD matter to u are of those whom u care about..why give a damn about sumone's views whom u dunt even know? If the people around you are content with who you are as a person, then thats all that should matter. As for soceity liking you, it's very hard to please everyone. Society contains infinite amounts of people and to please all of those people would be impossible. Just be tru to urself and the people around you.

For earning good reputation, one should invest his good deeds. This investment is not a one time investment, but a recurring investment.
The fundamental aspect is to love and be loved. You are in the society, not in an island.Work for others as much as your conditions permit.Help should be reciprocated with a help.The mantra is ,"Help others to help you."No good deed of yours will go waste. It will be reciprocated with equal intensity.Be true to your self like flutist who closes his eyes while playing the flute. He is not playing to please you, he isn't even looking at your smirks and critiques but, he is being true to himself.
This should be your attitude, day in and day out.

u can achieve good reputation in the society by becoming a good human being.if u give love,care ,respect to everyone and u are self developed ands uccessfull then u definitely gain good reputation in society.
