I always prefer Linux. It is much secure compared to Windows. But i came to know from my friends that Vista is also good. But it has some software compatibility and driver problem because it is new....Well , Version of a software come in market to overcome the drawbacks of the software and to upgrade it.Similarly Windows Vista have certain advantages / upgrades over Windows XP.But I still feel Windows XP
