Use lost and found or PC Inspector. The first thing you should stop writing or using the c drive. Run lost & found. Check the tree, it will show the files which can be recovered. Copy the file to a folder in a separate partition and come out from PC Inspector. Restart. Check the file you have copied....u can use active file recovery software ,it recovers all deleted file,i m using this software

well,u cant recover ur data now, because most of the recovery softwares are working correctly when ur data are deleted and and there is no format yet.but as u say u format, its no matter quick, recovers files with the original time and date stamp, recovers files -even when a header entry is no longer available.
