As an avid Sudoku player who has dabbled in trying to create puzzles, I know that the difficulty lies in not just making a solvable puzzle but a UNIQUELY solvable puzzle. For you could place 2 sudoku puzzle infinitely bigger. As long as you use a square number, you can make a sudoku puzzle that uses all the number from 1 to the chosen number.All these work:4, 9, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100, 121, 144

The thing is, you can make a sudoku puzzle infinitely bigger. As long as you use a square number, you can make a sudoku puzzle that uses all the number from 1 to the chosen number.All these work:4, 9. But if there were only 4 numbers down to start, there wouldnt be ONE UNIQUE answer to the puzzle. My finished puzzle probably will look different from yours. Yes, playing on line is not satisfying but I like really hard ones and really big puzzles. And I like them to take days, even weeks of time. Its so fun to just stop sometimes during the day and work on it for awhile, put in a few pieces and then do something else....As one of my hobbies for puzzles, I like to do by hand rather than the computer. Sure, you do waste money, but what I do, is rather but beautiful
