the power button. The PSU could be the culprit with the 20/24 pin issue. Do you have another PSU you could test with to make sure this isnt the cause? Also, it could be an issue with the onboard graphics available , for more information. If the computer starts up, I would not suspect the power button. The PSU could be the culprit with the 20/24 pin issue. Power supply PSU is the device that transfers electric power from a source to a load using electronic circuits. A typical application of power supplies is to convert utilitys AC input power into regulated DC voltages required for electronic equipment.Depending on the mode of operation of power semiconductors PSU can be linear or switching SMPS. What is SMPS? SMPS stands for switch mode power supply

Hi,Breadboard with just motherboard, CPU & HSF, case speaker, and PSU. You do have a case speaker installed, right? If not, you really, really need one. If yourcase or motherboard didnt come speaker, and PSU.Make sure you plug the CPU power cable in. The system will not boot without it.I always breadboard a new build. It takes only a few minutes, and you know you are putting good parts

worries me. That normally means the diodes in the PSU are going out which makes me think you have some sort of short in the motherboard draining excessive power. The only thing that makes me not sure if thats the case is if your PSU was drawing more power than it can handle, your computer would be freezing up andor rebooting. So first try high powered PSUs first in the range of 450W. If the problem

the maximum possible power. youd be overloading your psu if they did.the monitor is a completely separate entity from the tower, dont forget to add the monitors power requirements in as well.i would estimate many hard drives you have.the components of a computer will rarely ever use the maximum possible power.youd be overloading your psu if they did.the monitor is a completely separate entity from the tower

on me once again. I would assume that would eliminate it being a heat problem? So far Ive tried swapping out the PSU, the graphics card, the CD-Rom drive and removing all the unwanted components, but I still have reboot issues. Its quite hard to diagnose though since sometimes it does actually boot with all components....You should look at youe PSU. If a PSU overheats it will also force a reboot. You

clip at each end of the board. If its the power supply fan that is causing the problem then carefully remove the PSU box this is usually achieved by removing four screws from the back of the case that attach the PSU to the case. Depending on the style of case and the length of the power cables you might be able to lift the PSU box up and rest it on the case, or you may have to disconnect some or all
