The Core 2 Duo is Intels second generation Hence, Core 2 processor made for desktops and laptops designed from the ground up to be fast while not consuming nearly as much power as previous CPUs, Dual core is simply a generic term referring to any processor package with two physical CPUs in one.Dual Core is better because it has 2 processors. The more the better. Dell has a Quad Core, 4, processor

A dual core set-up is somewhat comparable to having multiple, separate processors installed in the same computer, but because the two processors are actually plugged into the same socket, the connection between them is faster. Ideally, a dual core processor is nearly twice as powerful as a single core processor. In practice, performance gains are said to be about fifty percent: a dual core

...well, think some best RAM :--1. KINGSTON 1GB DDR2 MEMORY WITH WARRANTY2. KNGSTON 1GB DDR 400 MEMORY WITH WARRANTYPC3200 RAM with your current processor, and itll even work if you set its speed to 266 MHz to match the front side bus frequency of your XP2400 processor. In fact, your system would probably work best if you do so. Changing your RAM speed to 400 MHz wont make your system work any better, because

GB of RAM to take full advantage of the capabilities offered by a 64-bit processor, while most PC owners have less than 1 GB under their computers hood.32bit XP will work with the 64bit CPU code is streams of 1s and 0s, such as this random sequence 100100100111. These bits are also how your processor does calculations. By using 32 bits your processor can represent numbers from 0 to 4

Without processor it would not have been possible for you to ask this question, just because computers brain CPU itself is a processor and U R using it right now as U even see my answer. The processor aka CPU or microprocessor is the brain of your computer. It reads instructions from your software and tells your computer what to do....A processor is the logic circuitry that responds to and processes

AMD processors have almost always been a step or two behind Intels. There was about an eight-month period where this wasnt true, but Intel caught up and passed them again.Intel processors are generally faster and are engineered to run at the prescribed speed with power to spare. In other words, if you were an overclocker, you could play with the processors speed and get even more out

Usually when you see computers advertised with "dual-core processor" without listing the specific model, they are trying to sell an older model cpu like a Pentium-D for desktops or "Core Duo" for laptops. Intels E21xx processors are also dual-core, just less powerful than Core 2 Duos.AMDs X2 series of cpus are dual-core, and perform much better than Intels single-core Pentium 4
