In around 200 BC, Pundit Vishnu Sharma wrote the Panchatantra in Sanskrit, meaning the Five principles. His original works consisted of Five Volumes which had stories with Morals . through Stories to his Pupils... The Panchatantras are ancient Hindu collection of stories. They are based on fables, normal human lives, emotion, tragedy and so on. Originally written in Sanskrit, it was lost to a great extent and the remaining a few are read now.
