Oath is a reassurance for a relationship,and the weaker the bonds of any relationship ,reassurance is needed the most.So it all depends upon how strong the bond is and if you really need that oath....yes it is good to take an oath in any relationship bcoz it will assure your loyalty,respect and love towards that relation....IF THIS RELATIONSHIP IS A MARRIAGE WHERE RELATIONSHIPS ARE CONSECRATED BY OATHS OF A

No. Physically placing ones hand on a Bible and swearing an oath is not required nor was it ever legally enforceable. The court gives those giving testimony the option of "swearing an oath
