I guess you can say they are linked like Harry Potter and Voldermort are linked. :The whole rise of Christianity was based on the slaughter of pagans. Modern neo-paganism is not exactly the same as the original pagan beliefs, but they are definitely an homage to them.And the fact that people are turning to those beliefs now shows how Christianity is not meeting the needs of modern people.
