I could say that what Ponting said was probably right as I did not follow cricket at the time Gavaskar played, but there is absolutely no sense in bringing all these statements out now. Narayan Masurekar. The story goes like this : On the day, Gavaskar was born, his uncle, Mr Masurekar had come to his hospital to see him. The uncle noticed a small hole near the top of his left ear lobe. But the next day, when he came to see Gavaskar, he did not find the hole !
