Not really you are far better off using XP Pro as it has support for 2 CPUs which is effectively what 1 Dual Core CPU is.If you load Home onto a computer with a Dual Core CPU it will work but only on one of the cores so you are wasting your money in buying a High End CPU....no this not mean your processor is dual core.this graph is only show your pc status....NO...yes...Yes. its a dual core or core2duo

actually on an average scale this is to but a dual core is much faster than a single core with the double speed...dual cores enable you to multi task better. its a bit different to the way your putting it....the dual core CPU you mentioned its much more powerful then the single code one.
