dual core is an older version supporting only 1MB cache for both the cores ie sharing of 1 MB cache takes place where as in core 2 duo we have 2 different core accessing 1MB cache each separately where as quad core has 4 cores n cache sharing is same as tat of core2duo. dual core is based on the platform allendale n core2duo is based on the conroe platform...dual core means it has two CPU cores

hi ashok a dual core processor is a CPU with two separate cores on the same die, each with its own cache. Its the equivalent of getting two microprocessors in one.In a single-core or traditional the equivalent of two processors into a single chip. The best known dual-core processors in consumer computers are Intels Core 2 Duo and Core Duo, but rival AMD also makes them. They are a good bet for most people

A dual core processor is a CPU with two separate cores on the same die, each with its own cache. Its the equivalent of getting two microprocessors in one.In a single-core or traditional processor dual core processor each core handles incoming data strings simultaneously to improve efficiency. Just as two heads are better than one, so are two hands. Now when one is executing the other can

Normal processor mean's the die only have 1 processor i.e 1 core whereas a dual core processor means the die have two cores i.e. two processors likewise a die with 4 cpres and 4 processors are called quad core processor. they also have difffrent pins and diffrent technologies. in a normal processor the cache memory and RAM is used by a single processor but in a dual core processor the cache memory

Dual-core refers to a CPU that includes two complete execution cores per physical processor. It combines two processors and their caches and cache controllers onto a single integrated circuit (silicon chip). It is basically two processors, in most cases, residing reside side-by-side on the same die. Dual-processor, Dual-core, and Multi-core: Keeping it straight Dual-processor (DP) systems

products was the lack of SMP support. I run dual processor servers for better performance. Most of the antivirus programs gave a warning during install about not supporting SMP machines, while some simply would not function after installation under SMP. Trend Micros ServerProtect, for example, installed nicely on my dual processor Red Hat Linux box, but failed to run. Only after trying to start the daemon

for video games then you would want to go with the faster chip and you would not worry about how many cores....of course ,quad core is better.Dual cores have two cores, and quad cores have four. All the cores to be using your computer for video games then you would want to go with the faster chip and you would not worry about how many cores....Dual cores have two cores, and quad cores have four. Well in general you can say that. Youre not completely wrong. But imagine a system with a dual core proccessor having 2 cores of 2GHz in one socket,, and a system with 2 proccessors of 2GHz eachin 2 comunicate with CPU,and how fast it is, PLAY ITS PART in the speed of a system, as the LEVEL 1 AND LEVEL 2 CACHE MEMORY The momery its CPU has for store data just before proccessing it.So in real world a dual
