see the speed different and cores are different ..speed remains same in both the processors but the processing get dvided in two parts in the case of core 2 duo and dual core...No, you dont have two cores running at 2.3Youve got 1 processor that runs at 2.3 but has 2 core2duo or 4 quad-core processors....the dual cores n quad cores have 2 n 4 processors [for understanding its not exactly processors

ahead n get a core 2 duo computer its fast n [furious...]pun intented...Pentium Core 2 Duo is obviously a better processor as compared to Pentium Dual Core n case of performance. Pentium Dual core is the first multicore processor by Intel with two processor as its core, later Pentium introduce another multicore processor which is called as Core 2 Duo and is known as second generation dual core processor

Dual-core refers to a CPU that includes two complete execution cores per physical processor. It has combined two processors and their caches and cache controllers onto a single integrated circuit silicon chip. The main advantages areYou can run multiple programs as once.Have much better speedDual-core processors are well-suited for multitasking environments because there are two complete execution

The core 2duo is better, but for the price difference I would go for the dual core D series I assume Intel unless you have processor intensive needs.

If i have a dual core processor running at 1.6ghz does that mean in total it will be running at 3.2 ghz?"No."Or is it that each will run at 1.6ghz but the dual core technology is only for multi taskings?"Yes."I also want to know if a game that requires 2.0ghz of processing power will be able to run on a 1.6ghz dual core processor?"It should, because the game requirements

NO. dual core is when two CPUs that are working together and when two processors are working together, its called Core two and not dual core....NO its not a dual core processor. Dual core is the number of processing cores in the processor package. Dual Core is a type of microprocessor just like brain that runs a computer which packs the equivalent of two processors into a single chip. The best

A dual-core processor contains two cores and a quad-core processor contains four cores. A multi-core microprocessor implements multiprocessing in a single physical package. A processor with all cores caches e.g. current AMD dual-core processors. The processors also share the same interconnect to the rest of the system. Each core independently implements optimizations such as superscalar execution

is rocking these days. Intels dual and quad core processors are the king of the heap at the moment. In particular, the companies Core 2 Duo/Quad processor lineup is out-pacing AMDs current Athlon64 X2 processors in the same price bracket, whether benchmarking results or survey to customers, Intel Core 2 Duo has the upper hand. So let me suggest you to go for Intel Core 2 Duo!...well arun,Intel 2 duo dual

of Intels consumer 64-bit dual-core and 2x2 MCM quad-core CPUs with the x86-64 instruction set, based on the Intel Core microarchitecture, derived from the 32-bit dual-core Yonah laptop processor. Note: The Yonahs silicon chip or die comprised two interconnected cores - each similar to those branded Pentium M. The 2x2 MCM dual-die quad-core[1...] CPU had two separate dual-core dies CPUs - next to each other
