The Core 2 Duo is Intels second generation Hence, Core 2 processor made for desktops and laptops designed from the ground up to be fast while not consuming nearly as much power as previous CPUs, Dual core is simply a generic term referring to any processor package with two physical CPUs in one.Dual Core is better because it has 2 processors. The more the better. Dell has a Quad Core, 4, processor

A dual core set-up is somewhat comparable to having multiple, separate processors installed in the same computer, but because the two processors are actually plugged into the same socket, the connection between them is faster. Ideally, a dual core processor is nearly twice as powerful as a single core processor. In practice, performance gains are said to be about fifty percent: a dual core

Usually when you see computers advertised with "dual-core processor" without listing the specific model, they are trying to sell an older model cpu like a Pentium-D for desktops or "Core Duo" for laptops. Intels E21xx processors are also dual-core, just less powerful than Core 2 Duos.AMDs X2 series of cpus are dual-core, and perform much better than Intels single-core Pentium 4

hello bhatt The Core 2 brand refers to a range of Intels consumer 64-bit dual-core and 2x2 MCM quad-core CPUs with the x86-64 instruction set, based on the Intel Core microarchitecture, derived from the 32-bit dual-core Yonah laptop processor. Note: The Yonahs silicon chip or die comprised two interconnected cores - each similar to those branded Pentium M. The 2x2 MCM dual-die quad-core[1...] CPU had

A single chip that contains two distinct processors that work simultaneously. IBM introduced dual cores in its Power 4 chips in 2000. In 2004, Sun and HP introduced their first dual core CPUs.The first dual core chips for x86-based PCs and servers were introduced in 2005 and included the Pentium D and Pentium Processor Extreme Edition 840 from Intel and the Opteron 800 and Athlon 64 X2 from AMD. The Intel dual-core processor consists of two complete execution cores in one physical processor. Imagine that a dual-core processor is like a four-lane highwayit can handle up to twice as many cars as a two-lane road without making each car drive twice as fast.Similarly, with an Intel dual-core processor, you can do more at once than ever before, without slowing down: Boost multitasking power
