He doesnt... If its raining, there will be no shoot! Only indoor shoots happen during the rains. The rain that you see in films is artificial. You dont shoot when it actually rains!...It all depends upon the efficiency of cinematographer and adequacy of facilities provided by the producer of the film

Not especially, and if it is indoors light requirements will be similar to day. It will depend on whether the scene is meant to be a day scene or night scene. For outdoors..., light requirements will vary a lot for a night shoot. Its not difficult, just different.

Well Camera mans have people who can help them in their workbut they can be called a Assistant camera man.They can do the job in the absence of the cameraman and can give him tips also how to take certain kind of shot.The assistant can also learn from the cameraman....it is always advisible to have an assistant. mostly cameramen have assistants. they help the cameraman in mounting the camera
