Playing against any top team outside the subcontinent, India should always play 5 specialist bowlers. When a team plays 4 specialist bowlers, there is always a risk that one of the 4 bowlers might not perform well on that particular day, and this causes serious problems for the captain. A team can play 4 specialist bowlers on the spinner friendly pitches of the subcontinent, where the part time bowlers do bowl well in the middle overs to contain the amount of runs, but outside subcontinent, India should always play the option of 5 specialised bowlers.

India should play 4 bowlers, 3 seamers and one spinner. We can utilise services of Sachin, Yuvraj and Sehwag as fifth bowler

As per my opinion again it matters on team combination and their strengths.when india has alrounders like pathan we can definitely go with 5 bowlers.In almost all matches india played with 4 bowlers struggled in last overs and there is in tough condition to replace 5th bowlers with yuvraj,sachin and shewag and it definitely makes india in great trouble and sometimes it may put extraa runs on the board.And we often seen that taking an extraa batsmen and playing him in 8th position(like utthapa) become useless and mindless.Since india has a players like Dhoni and pathan who play at greater responsibility and situation base can easily getthrough the fifth bowler in to team by lessing an extra batsman.

yes.batsman & bowler's both are suppose to justify their existence in the team;wicketkeeper is an add-on bonus batsman.

With Irfan Pathan in the team, Yes India can take the liberty of playing five bowlers including him otherwise India has won matches mostly on the batting. I think Ganguly has done a remarkable job in making Dravid the keeper and played 7 batsman thats where India started winning more one dayers. Best example is Netwest final.

yes.......i think india play with 4 special bowler & 1 is all-rounder . that s good for indian team.After that sachin,yuvi & shewag also is there for part time bowler.

The combination entirely depends on the form of each player. While all the batters in team are in good form one can always chance 5 specialist bowlers. While the form of bowlers is good think of 6 batters and 4 bowlers. It is situational therefore the issue of captaincy

Yes, it will help in longer version, as yesterday's match was the good example of this reason. If we have extra bowler, we must have wrap up Australia in nearly 150. That would be sufficient to win the match even as low scoring match was always profitable.

yes .five specialist bowlers are a must in any form of the game.!. it gives the specialist batsmen to concentrate entirely towards their job. afterall its a team game right...everybody has their own part to play.!
