i think that he is one of the finest players when concentrating on bowling his batting is a natural gift to him but i still think that it is not the same pathan which we saw in pakistan last to last tour.

Rate of 1 to 10. i will give 3. He is an all-rounder in making. Rating 3 is chosen as the question is of a world-class all rounder. As most of the world class all-rounders are match winners because of there both batting and bowling but as of now Irfan at most of the occasion been a match winner just because of his bowling and not because of both batting and bowling. But surely If coaches work more on him he can definitely improve a lot.

i dont think pathan is a world class all-rounder like Kapil or Kallis. Yes, he is a strike bowler n get crusial wikets but he hasnt been a regular batsman yet.He has ability to swing the new ball and seam up. But this ability is slowly decreasing. He needs to increase some pace too. Overall he is a bowler who can bat and get some good runs,and hang in when some early wikets have fallen down.

i would rate him as a bowler who can bat down the order and score some quickfire runs but who also has the ability to stick it out when needed
he has a long way to go before he can be considered as a genuine all rounder like kapil dev or jack kallis

Irfan Pathan is an all rounder. He is a little less than regular batsmen and little less than bowlers but a composite cricketer who contributes in a total way, just like Ravi Shastri in the middle of eighties. He should not be dropped in any test match, till they find a better all rounder. In ODIs, he is India's 6th all-time best player after Sachin, Sourav, Shastri, Kapil and Dhoni.

He's a batsman who plays well on pitches where the ball is coming on. He struggles on pitches with a spongy bounce. Also think he should use a lighter bat. As a bowler he's getting very predictable. He should definitely put on some muscle n get some pace in, if he has to survive in the sub-continent. But overall he has a great role to play in the limited overs in indian cricket.

He will need to connect the ball better and bowl well if he will need to be called as an allrounder.

He is a very good al-rounder, now some good bowlers had came aur chamakgai thats why he looks like under performer. but he is a very good thinker and performs when required. He will serve for India long. lambi race ka ghoda hai wo.
