India is a country of mysticism and mysterious happenings. There have been wonderful and miraculous happenings all around. They remain good as far as there are no strings attached.When greed enters into the blessings all the power is gone.
I have seen such things happen near me and that si why although I do not believe in these I cannot even negate them.That is your case.

Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple is one of the most celebrated Hindu shrines of Kerala. The temple is located in Chottanikkara town, 17kms away from Ernakulam. Rajarajeswari is the presiding deity here.

The 'Devi' in the temple is known for the healing powers, particularly relating to mental illness and disorders.

To the north east there is a flight of steps leading to the Keezhkaavu, a shrine to Bhadrakali.

In the keezhkaavu shrine is a paala tree with hundreds of nails driven into its trunk, as a mark of devotees having been exorcised here. Worship here is believed to rid devotees of evil influences, psychological ailments, evil spirits etc.

THIS IS NOT A MYTH. I HAVE PERSONALLY SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE BEING CURED OF INSANITY.

Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple is one of the most celebrated Hindu shrines of Kerala. The temple is located in Chottanikkara town, 17kms away from Ernakulam. Rajarajeswari (Adiparasakthi) alias Durga Bhagavathy - the mother Goddess, is the presiding deity of the temple. It is said that this deity was brought from Mookambika Temple in Kollur, Karnataka and therefore there is a presence of Mookambika (Saraswathy) Devi till 7am in the morning.

The 'Devi' in the temple is known for the healing powers, particularly relating to mental illness and disorders. The temple situated in a hilly region, is surrounded on all sides by green farms. The entry is through the west and the spiritual atmosphere in the temple gives mental peace and harmony to devotees.
We call people with disturbed mind insane.Every day the temple is visited by many who are mentally disturbed. Some stay there for days doing the bhajan. we feel very surprised when we see the sight there. In both places where the deity Devi is, these people will be sitting almost calmly, reciting bhajans, with the relatives who accompany them. There is Shiva at one side of the temple. When the regular Deeparadhana is going on there, these people gather there & start dancing & singing in praise of Devi. They show all sorts of insanity. Nobody disturbs them or guides them to do anything. The people from far & near are brought here & after a few days bhajan most of them get normal.
we devotees enter the temple with 'bhayabhakti'. There is some kind of divine shakti in the surroundings of the temple which we can feel. once we get the darshan, we feel a calmness inside beyond any doubt. Even the people who do not know the significance of the temple feels this.

Chottanikkara temple, located near Ernakulam enshrines Bhagawati - the mother Goddess, one of the most popular deities in Kerala.

People who have mental illness seek refuge in the divine mother, basing on the faith and belief of the devotees. I think From the way the devotees throng this temple it appears, insanity in a few cases has been cured
