I feel too bad for Urmila in d "Ramayana". Should Laxmana deal with her as a wife like that?

yea your are right perhaps Urmila is the most neglected character in the Ramayana. Valmikis text mentions her only once, in two lines, to tell us that she was married to Lakshmana. We dont hear imagine Ramayana at present day scinario, Urmila would have divorced Laxmana to live with someone else....wish u were born in that era to take her care!...You are right though every body remember sacrifice

Was not it an injustice to Urmila when Laxmana accompanied Rama and Sita to their 14 years vanavas in he epic, the Ramayana?

even i feel that it was an injustice done by laxman. sita went with raam becaus she wanted to fulfil the duties of an ideal wife. even urmila had that desire but laxman asked her to fulfil the duties of an ideal daughter in law. it was injustice because a wife would always desire to stay with the husband....Well... Every lady in Ramayana is a sufferer of some or the other male ego. A typical male dominated

I feel too bad for Urmila in the"Ramayana". Should Laxmana deal with her as a wife like that?

So far the sacrifice of passion, emotion, love and sex are concerned, the position of Urmila in the Ramayana, is much greater than that of Sita. I raised this discourse on many occasions. Urmila and neglected Urmila like that. He performed his duty by giving protection to Sita, at the cost of his wifes hopes and aspirations. Laxmana forgot that Urmila, his wife, was also a woman of flesh and blood

Is there any difference in Tulsi Rmacaritamnasa and Valmiki Ramayana?

There are some contradictions between Tulsi Rmacaritamnasa and Valmiki Ramayana. For example, in Valmiki Ramayana in 36th Sarga of Bala Kanda, there is the story of Parvati. In Rmacaritamnasa, in these stories Parvati comes first and Sati later....There are numerous differences between Tulsi Rmacaritamnasa and Valmiki Ramayana. One example is the scene in which Kaikayi forces her husband to exile Rama
