Go ahead, there is nothing that would stop you from doing so. Rishi Valmiki did so. You could take initiative lessons from Arya Samaj and than further your knowledge on your self. I am suggesting just initiation through Arya Samaj because somewhere down the path Arya Samaj leads you to thread, it becomes affected by a divisive thought that makes a person a non-believer or just confused. A brahmin has to have an inherent capability to expand his intellectual self.

That is really something that stirs the mind. I feel at a loss of words. But, I'll suggest you to please join the Brahma Samaj. I've heard they are the one organisation who take the bull by the horns.

A brahmin is not merely by birth but by the one who is strictly following the sacred scriptures of hinduism in which is stated are the rules and regulations for being a brahmin. This will be understood only if you take a proper Guru to teach you.
