What is the best way to teach an eight-year-old boy to read better?  

Develop nd build dreams for his future, he should be allowed to see big big dreams and it should be written on a paper by the child or his mother incase he is not able to write.Then he should be told to read it atleast 10 times in evening and 10 times in morning.Then he should be given regular positive self talk.This way he will be the best baby in your area.

Give him or her books and take him out on a nature trail. Dont be mechanical in action. ask him to write five sentences on the walk or write of five objects.Follow a seperate approach

you will have to be patient and regular in your efforts. you should ask him read a passage in your presence and should check where needed. sometimes you should read yourself and ask him to listen to you. tell him the difference between pronunciations like 'tion' and 'sion' etc.

1. In any case don’t make him understand the read like a punishment.
2. Change the read in a play. Funny bocks ever news, play with him imaging that you are the pupil and he the teacher.
I also used scrabble games with my kids, and we use to make stories.

3. If you don’t see any progress in 3 months you must ask a doctor, because could be a sign of disgraphia.
4. Be careful, you need all the time new texts, because he can learn it and he can “recite” it, not read!

The best way is to read loudly. Encourage your child to read loudly and after reading ask him to write down, he will never forget it. To make his reading better, first you should make him understand the whole lesson and then ask him to read it. And doing this, ask small questions from time to time.

let him read everyday loudly even in english or hindi.whether anyone is listening to him or not but in a bit loud voice.In this method slowly he will aware about words or develop reading skill.
