These are the spring (Sanskrit: vasanta), summer (grīṣma), monsoon season (varṣā), early autumn (śarada), late autumn (hemanta), and winter (śiśira). These are based on the astronomical division of the twelve months into six parts.The ancient Hindu calendar also reflects these seasons in its arrangement of months.

India has 6 seasons:
2 months of each.

Grishma - Summer : May- June .

Varsha - Rainy . July - Aug.

Sharat - Almost like Autumn. We do not have leaves falling then. More green. Sept- Oct.

Hemanta- Between Autumn and Winter
Unique to India. When Skies are so Blue.
Nov- Dec.

Shishir - Winter . Mid Dec to Mid - Feb

Vasanta - Spring. Mid Feb - Mid April approx

meaning ..

the six seasons of india are
1.Spring Mid-Feb to April
2.Summer or pre-monsoon season, lasting from March to June .
3.Monsoon or rainy season, lasting from June to September.
4.Autumn Sept to Mid-November
5.Post-monsoon season, lasting from October to December.
6.Winter, occurring between January and March.

I think U also learn it at your Ukg. level classes that the six seasons are Griswma-Varsa-Sarat-Hemanta-Sit and Vasanta
In English it stand for -Summer-Rainy-Early Autum-Late Autum-Winter-Spring
In English Calender its like this :-
Spring Mid-Feb to April

Summer May and June

Monsoon July to September

Autumn Sept to Mid-November

Pre-winter Mid-Nov to December

Winter Mid-December to Mid-February

When varsha rutu comes as per english month?

difference of climate from states to states, the season may come in separate times at different places of India.
