In the national level the Nehru Clan, controlling the party and the government when their party is in power. In the regional level Karunanidhi clan is the front runner but Sheikh Abdullah clan, Devilal Clan, Chaudhary Charan Singh clan, Deve Gowda clan are also in the race.

Non other than the clan of Nehru. J.l Nehru himself, His daughter Indira, Sanjay, Rajeev, Rahul and priyanka all these people are offsprings of the same geneology who have dominated the dynastic hyrarchy of the Congress party.
