That is an "over" exaggerated statement if there can even be such a term !
US recession is not yet formal if you would keep in tune with real news you would know US exports have risen by 18% which may very well stop US economy from a full blown recession. There is requirement of about 2 trillion US dollars to deal with the problem at hand and if the US government can extend the crisis to two years rather than one we might have a moderated growth for the next 2 to 3 years in US but no recession !
There you go. Dollar is sick but far from dead and your question comes at a time when it has shown renewed vigor recently, hmmm. The drop in crude prices will only strengthen it further. Things aren't looking fabulous but they are far from outright doomsday. Things merely look glum.
My view is we have a couple may be 3 hard not tough years ahead as far as US is concerned but you should be more concerned about India. We have a major energy, water and military crisis staring at us. We are peacefully debating American struggle for cake or bread ! Is our society in its right mind ?
