i have maruti 800 1997 model. now its time to change tyres. suggest me i go for radial on non radial tyre and of which compnay? radial tyre increses milage ?

Asked by tejas desai in Cars and Bikes at   10:02 AM on March 12, 2008

vinoo's Answer

You could go in for either MRF or JK radials. Radials generally last for longer time compared to ordinary tyres. Driving comfort and road grip is better in both dry and wet conditions on radial tyres, however, these are generally up to 25 to 30% costlier compared to the ordinary tyres. Under good driving conditions radials can go for upto 40,000 km whereas ordinary tyres would last for up to 25,000 km. Make sure to change the entire set with new ones, check tyre inflation regularly ( as recommended by manufacturer or as per vehicle manual), rotate tyres every 10,000 km and get the initial wheel balancing done before installing new tyres. Periodic wheel alignment checking will also help in prolonging tyre life.

i have damn interest in cricket what should i do to be a aprt of team india?

Asked by jigar in Self Development at   6:58 PM on February 19, 2008

vinoo's Answer

You should be more than merely interested in cricket in order to get selected for Team India. By now (18-years of age) you should have excelled in playing cricket for your school and/or college. Did you know that Sachin Tendulkar used to attend two different coaching classes every day. He desired to be the best batsman and diligently practiced for it on a daily basis. He made cricket his life. So, nothing is impossible, but one has to plan properly, and then work the plan in order to become the best. If you are really serious then you should take all necessary steps to realize your dreams. It requires a lot of hard work, commitment, perseverance, and sacrifice. Once you show you can play exceptional cricket and are noticed at various state-level and interstate tournaments only then will you qualify to be considered for selection. Alternatively you could consider joining a reputed cricket coaching school and hope to be noticed. All the best.

What are few essential skills A GOOD TEACHER should have?

Asked by BINDOO in Self Development at   2:22 PM on February 02, 2008

vinoo's Answer

An ideal teacher is one who is able to kindle interest of the student to learn and to seek knowledge. While the teacher passes on information to the student, the true teacher is the one who can instill inspiration to learn and understand the subject. The teacher guides the student and shows the path to be taken. A good teacher will also understand the nature of the child and make all possible efforts to encourage the child to learn by recognizing the deficiencies in the child and rectifying them.

Is it advisable to keep quiet and bear the injustice done to you or raise a voice against it?

Asked by lalima in Self Development at   10:48 AM on January 17, 2008

vinoo's Answer

No one can make you feel inferior, ill-treat, or do injustice to you unless you permit them to do it. The power to do this lies entirely within you. It is always important to let the other person know the limits beyond which he/she should not cross with you. For this you must show resolve, confidence, and essentially your individuality as an equal person with equal rights. It is important to preserve your dignity and uphold your values and personal rights, so always bear in mind that you have to be firm and committed to yourself as an individual. Remember the more injustice you tolerate the more it will embolden the other individual to perpetuate injustice, so just put an end to it by being firm and having a frank and fearless talk with the concerned person. (While doing this it would be good to evaluate all the possible alternatives and/or repercussions that this may lead to- this way you will be able to handle the situation in a more mature manner).

how to deal with work pressure and related issues?

Asked by Richard in Work & Workplace at   11:00 AM on February 18, 2008

vinoo's Answer

In todays job environment, deadlines, time, and accuracy play a very important role. A successful person is one who is able to manage time and prioritize tasks to achieve given objectives. The most important thing is to plan daily activities that need to be done and prioritize them in the order of importance. Set time limits for completion, and review status of jobs at least twice a day. By doing this you can ascertain progress and make necessary course corrections to stay on target. Identify time wasters during working hours and avoid them. Stay focused on the job. Believe in the rule of "doing the job the right way on time every time". For this understanding the job that is on hand and delivering it in time is of paramount importance. If you are able to manage these vital ingredients, then work related stress and fatigue will take a back seat and your focus on timely and accurate completion of tasks will be enhanced.

why some persons get irritation too much?

Asked by sweta in Self Development at   6:48 PM on January 30, 2008

vinoo's Answer

Generally people tend to get upset/irritated with others because they have too much expectations in terms of how others should behave, do various jobs/activities correctly, etc,. So, the end result is non-tolerance and impatience, unfortunately this is shown more within the family environs, and is the major cause for tiffs and misunderstandings with loved ones. Please understand that no two human beings are the same and that each reacts and does things differently. Under such situations, it is best to know the limits and capabilities of other members and react with tolerance and understanding. Anything told with the intention of goodwill and sincerity will be taken in the right spirit and improved upon. However, rest assured that you cannot always be successful, so under such circumstances be wise to let the matter go and refuse to be affected or controlled by such activity/behavior of others as it is your peace of mind that is being affected. So, strike a balance and ignore where necessary. Learn to take things positively and do things that give you control on your emotions. (learn to act and not to react to stimuli- expressions of anger and irritation are reactions).

do drugs make us more creative...................... ...........................?

Asked by scholar in Addiction at   12:14 PM on December 04, 2007

vinoo's Answer

Drugs interact directly with the chemicals in the brain and temporarily gives one the feeling of euphoria (well-being), the moment the effect wears off the person comes face to face to reality which is exactly the opposite. Contrary to the popular belief, drugs cannot make you more creative as it primarily blocks the sense of rational decision making process in the brain. Under the influence of drugs one only feels that more is accomplished, but, in fact you are becoming more addicted to the drug each time you take it. The very fact that one has to increase the dosage or number of times to get the same effect is the direct proof and the eternal truth that this has nothing to do with creativity. Dependence on the drug will only cause greater grief as time goes by. Say no to drugs, seek professional help to get out of it. Its your life and only you can decide to do it.

There is an increasing tendency to commit suicide in teenagers, how do i handle my teenage son without he going for such a step?

Asked by raw40 in Teenagers at   5:55 AM on December 05, 2007

vinoo's Answer

Teenage is a very difficult time both for the child and the parent as one wants to be independent and rebellious, and the other feels that all control is being lost. It is necessary for the parents to understand this change and become more like a friend to the child ( one that the child can depend upon for advise/guidance without feeling curbed or restricted). Get more involved in your child's activities without being intrusive. Keep a birds eye-view on all his friends and associates and try to interact with them as much as possible. Make sure to enforce certain uncompromising rules such as informing you about where he goes, or whom he spends time with (outside of college, tuitions, etc;). As a parent keep a close watch for any uncharacteristic behavior, ( like keeping to himself when at home and not interacting with family or friends, sudden loss of appetite, or general apathy/carelessness towards hygiene or health. Ensure you have positive interactions with your child regularly this will help your child reach out to you if he needs you. Continuous guidance and and reassurances of his capabilities will definitely help both the parent and the child.
