Someone hurts me what i do.?

Asked by ishfa ali in Family at   3:38 AM on May 05, 2009

GANGA .'s Answer

Don't let anyone hurt you. Have confidence in yourself. Remember noone is inferior to another. Ignore that person, & let him feel you are not bothered by his behaviour. That's the best punishment you can give that person. You care for that person more than he deserves. That's why you get hurt. Only you can help yourself to come out of this situation.

Why does frustration set in an educated girl, who is forced to be a housewife because of circumstances or family pressures?

Asked by Shiva Bajaj in Self Development at   12:40 PM on January 28, 2009

GANGA .'s Answer

Whether it was circumstances or family pressures, the girl has accepted the role of a housewife. Now the best she can do is accept the reality & make her life happy. She should show that she is educated not with the academic certificates, but by the life she leads. Education never goes waste. She will get many chances to use it.
As she gets into a married life, she should realize that the responsibilities of a housewife is not that simple. It is in her own hands how to make her life successful. Everyone should learn to accept life as it comes....She can prove herself to be a good housewife, win the love & respect of family members & mould her life as she wished.

Why people ignore their own mistakes and blame others?

Asked by ddbb2 in Self Development at   6:14 PM on December 25, 2008

GANGA .'s Answer

That is Ignorance. Usually we all don't do a mistake if we know it is not the right thing to do. So a mistake is something done unintentionally...But when we realize that we have done a mistake, we need the guts to admit it....So those who are not brave enough to admit their mistake, blame others. To face things we need courage. Those who don't have it, hide their face...it's easier to put the blame on others.

Service gives time srtuctring, sense of belonginess, purpose, how this loss can be made up by a retired person?

Asked by ddbb2 in Self Development at   8:55 PM on December 12, 2008

GANGA .'s Answer

Retirement might coincide with important life changes; a retired worker might move to a new location, for example a retirement community, thereby having less frequent contact with their previous social context and adopting a new lifestyle. Often retirees volunteer for charities and other community organisations.
Often retirees are called upon to care for grandchildren and occasionally aged parents. For many it gives them the more time to devote to a hobby or sport such as golf or sailing. On the other hand, many retirees feel restless and suffer from depression as a result of their new situation. Either because of the sudden increase in free time, or because of a decline in their personal health, the newly retired are one of the most vulnerable societal groups when it comes to depression.
New careers where the 'retired' return to work is an increasing phenomenon in Industrialised countries where inflation has reduced the value of available.

How can we develop more self awareness.

Asked by Suparna in Self Development at   2:45 PM on November 10, 2008

GANGA .'s Answer

Self-awareness is the concept that one exists as an individual, separate from other people, with private thoughts. It may also include the understanding that other people are similarly self-aware.
Self-awareness is the explicit understanding that one exists. Furthermore, it includes the concept that one exists as an individual, separate from other people, with private thoughts. It may also include the understanding that other people are similarly self-aware. Self-awareness remains a critical mystery in philosophy, psychology, biology, and artificial intelligence.

Self-consciousness is credited only with the development of identity (see the self). In an epistemological sense, self-consciousness is a personal understanding of the very core of one's own identity. It is during periods of self-consciousness that people come the closest to knowing themselves objectively.
Jean Paul Sartre describes self-consciousness as being "non-positional", in that it is not from any location in particular.

Self-consciousness plays a large role in behavior, as it is common to act differently when people "lose one's self in a crowd". It is the basis for human traits, such as accountability and conscientiousness. Self-consciousness affects people in varying degrees, as some people self-monitor (or scrutinize) themselves more than others. Different cultures vary in the importance they place on self-consciousness.

Called Poitey in Bengal, why do children have the head shaving ceremony?

Asked by Suparna in Puja & Rituals at   3:23 PM on November 10, 2008

GANGA .'s Answer

The Mundan ceremony, or Chadakarana, is a Hindu rite, or saṃskāra, in which a child receives his/her first haircut.

This sanskara is performed typically during the first or third year of age. The child’s hair is shorn, frequently leaving only the sikha, a tuft at the crown of the head.

In tradition, the hair from birth is associated with undesirable traits from past lives. Thus at the time of the mundan, the child is freshly shaven to signify freedom from the past and moving into the future. The rite is performed as a special ceremony in most homes, for young girls and boys.

At Rishikesh, on the banks of the Ganges, there is a special chadakarana sanskara/mundan ceremony. In this ceremony, Vedic mantras and prayers are chanted by trained priests, acharyas and rishikumars. The child's head is shaven and the hair is then symbolically offered to the holy river. The child and his/her family then perform a sacred yagna ceremony and the Ganga Aarti.

IBIBO RULES -Using multiple ibibo IDs for asking questions & one ID for answering them is not an issue -YOUR COMMENTS AND IDEAS PLEASE

Asked by PURUPPA in Puja & Rituals at   12:54 PM on October 28, 2008

GANGA .'s Answer

We can have multiple ids for asking qs. but we cannot answer qs from all those IDs. Anybody else can answer our qs... Asking qs is very difficult. Qs should have a standard & answers too should be very good, then only we get points. There should not be any repetitions. The same combination of Q&A should not be there. so even if we get the chance to make multiple IDs it's not easy to score points. only the first 2 good answers get 10 points...
