Sunny Bhasin's Answer

Rs. 70,000 is a good amount of money so i'm guessing you not looking for a bike with high mileage or less power. First, i would suggest the PULSAR DTS Fi. It's 225 but also costs about a lakh. It gives the same mileage as the 180 does.

Next series ofcourse is the 150 - 180CC. I have a unicorn. It's a nice bike if you are an old foggy. The most comfortable ride. But i much prefer the looks of the new pulsar. They both give about the same mileage about 50kmpl.

And ofcourse our good old 100 - 125CC. There are lots of bikes to choose from. The super slendor and the discover DSTi. Both good in it's category but i'm quite certain this is not what you looking for.

So all in all. Go for the pulsar if you young at heart and wanna have a lil fun. Fun + a lil smooth riding = Unicorn and if you could chip in just a lil more just go for the monster 225CC pulsar

which is d best bike to buy in d 150-160 segment ?

Asked by sourabh indu in Cars & Bikes at   1:08 PM on April 19, 2008

Sunny Bhasin's Answer

Hero Honda’s Hunk,CBZ X-Treme and Honda’s unicorn shares the same engine. Unicorn’s 149.2cc was the least power producer yet it scores full points for its refinement. Unicorn’s engine develops 13.3bhp at 8000rpm and 12.75Nm of 6500rpm. Hero Honda offers the same engine with little more power(0.8bhp) for both the Hunk and the CBZ X-treme. Pulsar 150cc engine is one of the best engine made by the bajaj. The twin spark 149cc engine produces 14bhp at 8500rpm.

TVS apache rtr is powered by an 160cc engine which produces 15.2bhp at 8500 rpm and 13.1Nm at 6000 rpm. Clearly, Apache RTR is the best among the traits in terms of performance. Apache RTR has higher power to weight ratio 111.7bhp/ton.Apachian can push the redline even upto 12000rpm. The extra 10cc plays a main role for the RTR and it is the only bike in the segement capable of breaching the 110kmph mark with appreciable control. All the bikes in the 150cc segment breathes through CV carburettor, in India, Fuel Injection (FI) is yet to make a wave. All the bikes Pulsar, Unicorn,CBZ Xtreme, apache RTR and Hunk features 5-speed (1-down 4-up pattern) gearbox. Their way of functioning and design varies. Apache RTR, Hero Honda Hunk and CBZ Xtreme targets young customers and hence gear shifting is through toe levers. In Unicorn and Pulsar 150cc it is through heel and toe levers.

Fuel Efficiency/mileage:

While the Honda’s engineering makes the mill frugal for the Bajaj its twin spark technology and exhausTEC do the difference. Both the Bajaj Pulsar 150cc and Honda’s Unicorn consumes 1 litre to returns around 55kmpl in our combined city and highway drive. Hero Honda Hunk’s 150cc engine is integrated with advance tumble flow induction (ATFI) technology. This kind of induction helps the motor to burn the fuel more efficiently. Hence the Hunk has little edge over its sibling CBZ X-treme but only by a small margin(1-2kms). Hunk returns 51kmpl in our test drive. TVS apache RTR which topped the performance bar flips in the mileage dept as expected. It gives a mileage of 48kmpl.

Ride and Handling:

Power and Torque coming from the mill has to be put on the road intelligently. Considering the Indian infrastructure it is must for Indian bikes to have superior handling characteristics. Few years back Honda surprised everyone with its monoshock suspension, its light steering and single downtube frame with engine as a stressed member. The bike gives a planted feedback to riders. Though Honda’s commuter type seating offers good comfort to the riders, it hampers the Honda in scoring full points in handling section. Unicorn’s biggest loss is the CBZ X-treme’s biggest gain. X-Treme’s sporty riding position with raised footpegs and its diamond type frame helps to negotiate turns and quick directional changes. But X-treme become cumbersome to handle at low speeds espescially when you have to incredible turns in the traffic signal. Xtreme’s 240mm disc brakes offers the neccessary bite when you need it. Pulsar 150cc which rides on 17″ inch tyres is showing its age.But pulsar’s sharp braking makes the pulsar fit for the competition. TVS has equipped the apache RTR with everything to be jesse owen. Yes, it is the most athletic in the segment. Want to flick! apache RTR’s clip on handle bar, shorter wheelbase and lower saddle height will help you like anything. RTR uses different sets of tyres at the front and the rear(17″-front and 18″-rear), this setup really makes the difference for the RTR’s road stance. 270mm petal disc brake holds the bike at the press of the brake lever. Hero Honda’s new hunk inherits most character of the CBZ X-treme but the heaviest bike in the class along with the large claddings tends to intimidate while taking sharp turns.

Recently launched Hunk is the first one to feature Gas charged suspension from Hero Honda’s stable. TVS has been using Rectangular arm suspesion for a long time, other such as Pulsar and Hunk adopts it. Other

why r the students disturb from our aim when he\she got unsuccess?

Asked by pankaj roy in Cars & Bikes at   9:04 PM on April 21, 2008

Sunny Bhasin's Answer

Concentration plays a vital role in doing well in studies. A student has to work really hard and concentrate firmly to get the concepts well in mind.

However, lack of concentration is said to be one of the major causes of failure in studies these days. There are many factors which may distract concentration in teenagers; some of them are discussed below:

1. Fatigue: Today’s teenagers opt for a different kind of lifestyle which includes partying with friends and involving in other activities which hampers adequate sleep. Sleep deprivation is probably the most common cause for an inability to concentrate on one topic for very long. Many studies have shown that students are not getting enough sleep, and sleep deprivation has serious physical, emotional, and cognitive effects.

2. Diet: Improper intake of food can also cause a major health issue in teenagers. Also, they show their carelessness in consuming meals on time. They need to understand that body is just like a machine in some ways. To get rid of this problem, parents must make out a routine which includes all the healthy food items that too at the proper time.

3. Anxiety: It is considered as another cause for the inability to concentrate. Though, high school is an exciting time, but it brings lots of stress for teenagers as well. Try to find reasons for your worries and solve them to get a clear state.

4. Boredom: Students usually get bored with anything very easily. They need to focus on the concepts so that they can later develop some interests in that particular area of learning. Boredom stems from doing something that lacks meaning and motivation.

what is the basic method, principle, and requirements to construct a remote control car.(robot) .what r the best concerned sites.

Asked by AVANISHshaky in Cars & Bikes at   4:49 PM on April 15, 2008

Sunny Bhasin's Answer

Building your own simple yet powerful wired robot is the first step in the field of robotics. To begin building your car you first need to decide few things about it. What kind of steering you want? In this tutorial we will build a differential drive car. A car has mainly five things viz. tyres, motor, chassis, axle and remote controller. A chassis can be made of anything which is flat, light, flexible, hard, and easy to cut like Toughened Styrofoam, Acrylic sheet, plastic tray, etc. Now we should select our tyres. Tyres should also be light in weight so that they do not put extra load on motors. Tyres can either be made by wood or plastic or could be purchased from market. We would require at least four wheels. You can add more wheels depending upon your car’s dimensions. We can use tyres of any appropriate size. You can even use pram wheels or bicycle’s side wheels. Once you have selected tyres you will need axle to support your tyres. A steel rod or aluminium rod of appropriate diameter can be used. Just take care that the rod fits properly in the tyre and tyre is not slipping over the rod. Now you need to select the most important part of your car i.e. motor. An internal or external geared D.C. motor of 12V or 24V rating is best available in the market. You can select the speed of motor depending on the track where you will run your car. If you select a motor with high speed then it will provide less torque and if you select a motor with high torque then its speed will cripple. An appropriate range of motor speed is 100-200 RPM. If you plan to run your car in mud, dust or sand then you should prefer an internal gear system to avoid jamming of gears with mud. We would require at least two motors. You can even use four motors if you wish to provide more power to your car. All the motors should be perfectly identical.

After you selected and collected all the required material for your car you are almost half the way to run your car. Now it’s the time to assemble your car. If you are using two motors on front wheels then make your rare wheels free to rotate with the help of ball-bearing. Assemble one motor on right front wheel and other motor on left front wheel. Mount both the motors and tyres on the chassis with the help of nuts and bolts. Once you assemble your car, check that it is moving freely. If the car is not moving freely then align all the tyres again so that they are free to rotate. So now the mechanical work of our car is complete. Now we have to make it run on electricity and control it via remote control. For this purpose we will use differential drive. Before building a differential drive, you should know how it works. If you already know about it then you may skip the next paragraph.

Differential drive is the easiest way to make your robot steerable. In differential drive system we mount one motor with right wheel and other motor with left wheel. When both the motors are rotated in forward direction the car moves forward. When both the motors are moved in reverse direction, the car moves backward. If we rotate right motor in forward direction and left motor in backward direction a torque is produced in anti-clockwise direction and the car turns to left. Similarly if left motor is turned in forward direction and right motor in reverse direction the torque is produced in clockwise direction and car turns to right. This is all about differential drive. With differential drive we can rotate our robot by 360 degree at a single point.

To change the direction of motor we need to change the polarity of supply. This can be done using H-bridge circuit. An H-Bridge circuit can be made using four SPST (Single Polarity Single Toggle) Switch or one DPDT (Dual Polarity Dual Toggle) Switch or using BJTs (Bi-Polar Junction Transistor). The easiest way is to use DPDT switch but if you wish to use microcontroller, then you will need to create a BJT H-Bridge circuit. Now make the connections as shown in

Is Maruti Zen is good

Asked by Bikramjit in Cars & Bikes at   8:14 PM on March 19, 2008

Sunny Bhasin's Answer

The Maruti Zen is a 5-door hatchback produced and sold in India by Indian automaker Maruti Udyog. It has acquired significant popularity in India since the nameplate was first introduced in 1993. The word "ZEN" is an acronym standing for Zero Engine Noise. It also stands for the Japanese word "Zen" which means "To figure out something by meditation or by a sudden flash of enlightenment."

The first generation Maruti Zen was introduced in 1993. This version of the Zen was similar to 1994 Suzuki Alto.

In 2000 its cost (of LX model) was around Rs 3,80,000.

It underwent a facelift in 2003. The production of this model ended in March 2006

Zen had a diesel variant which used the Peugeot's TUD5 (PSA TU engine) engine.

[edit] Second Generation

The second generation Maruti Zen, called Zen Estilo was introduced in December 2006[1][2] as a part of Maruti Udyog's Indian market strategy to launch a new car annually for the next five years .The new Zen has the same engine and chassis as the Maruti Wagon R; both being based on the Suzuki MR Wagon (Nissan Moco).[3] The pricing is also nearly the same as the Wagon R. The Maruti Alto, Wagon R and the new Zen Estilo all share the same chassis.
