Should men shave their unwanted hairs in arms and other places? Is it just a fashion statement or freaky nature?

Asked by Pratanu in Beauty & Fashion at   10:42 PM on January 24, 2009

Priyanka C's Answer

well pratanu,
When it comes to removing unwanted hair, it can be hard to know which method is best. With choices ranging from shaving to tweezing to waxing, figuring out what’s best to use where, and how, can make you want to, pardon the pun, yank your hair out. But please don’t. Relax. Here are some tips to help.

When it comes to removing unwanted facial hair, you already know that shaving is the most effective method. You’ll want to purchase a quality razor and blades or an electric razor, and keep them in optimum condition for daily use. Also, you may want to consider purchasing a trimmer if you have a beard or mustache—or even to use on unwanted ear or nostril hair. A trimmer is great to help you keep a beard or mustache the length you want and also keeps them uniform in length. A trimmer is also a great way to keep that Brad-Pitt-three-day-stubble look from turning into the town-drunk-after-a-long-bender look.

For removing unwanted eyebrows, tweezing or waxing are the preferred methods. A good pair of quality tweezers is inexpensive and can be picked up most anywhere. Tweezers are perfect if you only have a few eyebrows you want to pluck. However, if you have fairly unruly eyebrows, waxing is the way to go. ALWAYS follow the wax instructions carefully to avoid blisters and burns. After using either method to remove unwanted eyebrows, it’s a good idea to use a little ice to keep down any possible swelling and to reduce redness. Follow with a good moisturizer to refresh and hydrate the skin.

unwanted hairIt isn’t unusual for swimmers, bodybuilders and other athletes to remove body hair before a competition. And some men just prefer to keep their backs, legs and chests hairless. Waxing is generally the preferred method for this sort of unwanted hair removal because it can keep unwanted hair away for a longer length of time, generally two to three weeks, than when removing hair by other methods. You can either do the waxing at home yourself or you can have it done by professionals. If doing the waxing yourself, remember that the key is to always make sure the wax is properly heated and not too hot. Here are some quick waxing tips for you do-it-yourself-ers:

· Never heat wax on the stove because it is extremely flammable
· Apply the wax to a small area first to make sure you aren’t allergic to it
· Apply the wax in smooth, even strips
· Take care to make sure the strips don’t touch or connect
· When removing the wax strips, pull against the direction of hair growth
· Don’t recycle wax that’s been used on underarm or genital areas
· Take care not to use wax on irritated, chapped, sunburned or cut skin
· Never use wax on areas with moles or warts
· Waxing is not advised for people with diabetes or circulation problems

Unwanted hair can also be removed using special laser treatments. However, these treatments can be quite expensive, but are highly effective. Hair removal by this method is the most long lasting of all methods and can usually be used on any part of the body. But remember, laser hair removal must be done by professionals who are certified to do so - in other words, kids, don’t try this at home!

First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR i was a smoker that's why my lips is so dark...wht can i do for my pinkish lips...any one sugges me plz?

Asked by Nitin in Beauty & Fashion at   12:00 PM on January 03, 2009

Priyanka C's Answer

well nitin,

try some of the lip-plumping gloss. that increases circulation to your lips, and the circulation is what affects the natural pink shade that you have. When a person has been smoking for a long time, it affects the blood circulation to some of the body's extremities, like your hands and feet. This may also be what is happening to your lips.

Priyanka C's Answer

well implore,

Many women have unwanted hair they want to remove, either by temporary hair removal measures or by permanent hair removal measures, like laser hair removal. Unwanted hair can be on legs, arms, underarms, bikini line or the face. This article makes clear the following:

* Is it possible to remove unwanted hair by waxing?
* How sugaring can be used to remove unwanted hair?
* How unwanted hair can be removed permanently?

Many women have unwanted hair they want to remove, either by temporary hair removal measures or by permanent hair removal measures, like laser hair removal. Unwanted hair can be on legs, arms, underarms, bikini line or the face. Unwanted facial hair is one area where women will often consider permanent hair removal or laser facial hair removal.
Remedies for Dealing with the Situation
There are a number of remedies for dealing with unwanted hair, including bleaching, short-term hair removal, long-term hair removal and permanent hair removal. Here are some of the most popular methods of removing unwanted hair.

1. Bleaching. Bleaching the hair makes the hair more difficult to see.
2. Plucking the hairs out using a tweezer. (This is popular when dealing with eyebrow hair.)
3. Trimming the hair.
4. Shaving
5. Waxing
6. Using an epilator.
7. Depilatory creams.
8. Electrolysis
9. Laser hair removal.

NATURAL REMEDIES
A lot of hair removal methods require the use of harsh chemicals, but there are some natural remedies for removing unwanted hair. Shaving and plucking can be considered natural remedies, so far as they do not require the use of chemicals. Here are some other natural remedies for body hair removal and facial hair removal.

1. Hair can be bleached with lemon juice and chamomile tea.
2. Sugaring is a method first used in ancient Egypt. By combining honey, lemon and sugar you can create your own mixture. It is used in a similar way to waxing.
3. A rough stone (like a pumice stone) can be used to remove hair by causing friction.
4. Some hair removal products can be purchased that use only natural ingredients.

Hot water and steam are not methods of dealing with unwanted hair, but they are helpful when removing hair from the roots. Before plucking, waxing or using an epilator, a hot bath or a facial sauna with open up the pores and make the hairs easier to remove.
USING CREAMS AND GADGETS
There are many creams and gadgets on the market that assist women in facial hair removal and body hair removal.

Depilatory creams use chemicals to dissolve the hairs at the skin's surface. They are often used for facial hair removal or removal of hairs around the bikini line. Different creams can be purchased for different hair removal tasks. As these creams contain harsh chemicals, they may irritate the skin. For this reason, all creams should be tested on the skin before use.

Hair bleaches lighten the hair, so that it is becomes less visible. There are a number of hair bleaches available in the stores. Hair bleaches are popular for facial hair, where it is difficult to remove hair without waxing or undergoing permanent hair removal treatments, like laser facial hair removal.

Waxing is a popular way of removing unwanted body and facial hair. There are a number of special waxing kits available for purchase, some of which include all-natural ingredients. People can also get their hair waxed at beauty salons.

Shaving removes the hair at the skin's surface. As the hair is cut off, it may grow back thicker and darker than before. Shaving products include razors, disposable razors and electric razors. Shaving cream can help while shaving, but it does not help remove unwanted hair.

Epilators are electronic devices that roll along the body, pulling up hairs at the root. As the hairs are removed at the root, it takes longer for the ha

Is there any skin surgery to get complte clear face?

Asked by Indira Devi in Beauty & Fashion at   12:50 AM on December 20, 2008

Priyanka C's Answer

well indra,

If you are, you may be looking for more information. After all, the decision to undergo cosmetic surgery is a big decision; it is not one that should be made on a whim. If you are interested in undergoing cosmetic surgery to correct an imperfection, such as excess skin, excess fat, stretch marks, or winkles, but are not one hundred percent sure about your decision, you may be unsure as to how you should proceed. For starters, you may want to examine cosmetic surgery patient stories.

Cosmetic surgery patient stores, as you likely already know, are stories that are told by those who have undergone cosmetic surgery. They are firsthand accounts, which are often posted online. If you haven’t already taken the time to read a few of these firsthand accounts you will want to do so. Most importantly, you will want to do so before you make your final decision about your surgery.

As for what reading cosmetic surgery patient stories can do for you, it can help you understand the reasoning behind these popular surgeries. Although you may want to slow the signs of aging and eliminate your wrinkles, you may be wondering if cosmetic surgery is really your best option. By examining cosmetic surgery patient stories, you can see that people undergo cosmetic surgery for a number of different reasons. These are people just like you and many have the same reasons for choosing surgery. This may help to provide you with reassurance that you are making the right decision.

Cosmetic surgery patient stories can help you know what to expect. For the best results, you will want to read the firsthand accounts of those who underwent the procedure that you are interested in, like a surgical facelift. Many patients will tell you how the procedure worked, often in a step-by-step format. They may also outline what they were feeling at the time, whether it be fear or excitement, as well as share ways on how to cope with those emotions.

How to get shine in my hair? some home solourtions is there plz let me know? ?

Asked by Amrita in Beauty & Fashion at   5:10 PM on December 18, 2008

Priyanka C's Answer

well amrita,

* Rinse your hair with cold water to enhance the shine of your locks. Rinsing with cold water will close & smoothen the cuticle making it look shiny.
* Two ways to close and smoothen the cuticle after shampoo are:
a. To 1 gallon of distilled water add 1tbls of vinegar. Once the shampoo is washed apply the rinse. (It might not give a good odor, but the results are good.)
b. Apply acidic conditioners after rinse.

* Get a transparent color on your hair in the same way normal colors are applied. The color will add little pigments to the hair shaft that would make your hair shine when light falls on it.
* The simplest way to have shiny hair - deep conditions them.
* Vitamin E is essential for your hair. Include brown rice, nuts, wheat germ and leafy green vegetables in your diet.
* In a bowl mash avocado, one tbls of olive oil and a tsp of baking powder. Mix well and apply it on your hair. Rinse it after 15 minutes.
* If you have got your pretty locks colored, use products for color treated hair. These products will prevent the color from discharging, and making it look lifeless and dull.
* Natural oil can also make your hair look shiny. Just brush or comb your hair.
* Using a hair dryer can eliminate the moisture from your hair. Pick on heat activated shampoos and conditioners to retain the moisture.

Why do men like to wear pantyhose?

Asked by Neha Bist in Beauty & Fashion at   1:18 PM on December 05, 2008

Priyanka C's Answer

well neha,

I would think you were crazy. Not because you're a man and you want to wear them, but because you think they feel good. They are the most uncomfortable things ever invented (ok maybe the most after very high heels with pointy toes).

I think they are torturous and avoid them when possible.
