Can anyone plz tel me what Beta HCG levels would an unmarried girl who never had intercourse have..would it be 0 or anything less than 5 which says non pregnant

Anything less than 5 is non-pregnant. But Beta HCG is secreted exclusively by chorion and ovarian cells. hence when beta HCG is present in an unmarried girl we have to get a ultrasound done to see if there is any other pathology of ovaries which are producing beta HCG. I saw your previous question mentioning values of 1.2.
Please get a ultrasound done & tell me the size of ovaries & what the report says. Also mention if the patients periods are regular or not.

Hi Nancy,
The levels you have mentioned are too low to say you were pregnant. But if this was the first time that you were to be pregnant then maybe you had what is called as chemical pregnancy.

Hi biswajeet,

The method you are refering to is called "Withdrawal method" or "coitus interrutus". This method has a very high faliure rate of about 30%.

This means if 100 couple practise this method about 30% couple will land up with pregnancy.

Hi Anahita, periods usually get delayed a little after abortion. You propbably will get your periods by next week. Still if you do not get your menses please do a urine pregnancy test by 31st May.
