Babii Das's Answer
U can say a dual core processor is two processors in one. It has far more clocking speed than a normal processor (P4, Athlon 32). When two core processors are buttered together as one then it is said to be a dual core processor. Examples: Intel ( Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual Core, Pentium D) & AMD (Athlon 32, Phenom) of which Core 2 Duo performes the best in terms of speed with a high price tag, whereas Pentium Dual Core costs low giving the same the performance. Pentium D is a straight no-no. AMD performes best in terms of long hours of work at the machine
