How to increase my broad band and downloading speed of any file from internet?

Asked by sajid asar in Computers & Technology at   2:35 PM on August 27, 2008

raj u's Answer

well sajid i think u go to Google or websearch for this pgm., TZ connection booster. See, if it can help you. just run the pgm. and follow, in most cases, just accept what it finds.....many times you habe many programs runing and updating tjhemselves with or without your permision. Be sure to use some start up utility and eliminaTE all unnecesary services. example: toolbars, microsoft update, microsoft firefall, security notifications, adobe update, and many others.

second try using "mozilla firefox" it uses less memory and is faster than ie7.

finally the only thing you MUST keep with the autoupdate issue is your favorite antivirus.

have a good surfing and switch to bropadband as soon as you can. bye

if you want increase your dial-up speed, download dial-up plus from http://www.qualitynet.net/dup install the dup and don't restart your pc then open your Control Panel > Phone and modem then click mordem option > properties > Advance here you see one box (Extra initialization commands: type at&fx on the box then click ok button final restart your pc by zomanmansur.....

I want to Enable “Pin to Start menu” For Folders

Asked by Ram Jain in Computers & Technology at   9:15 PM on August 24, 2008

raj u's Answer

well ram ...i think The Start menu in Windows Vista and XP allows you to "Pin" items to the top for quicker access to your favorite applications. The problem is that you can't pin folders to the start menu, even though that would be very useful.

There's a registry hack that you can do to add this capability for folders as well… it's not new, but still very useful.

Manual Registry Hack

To manually set up this context menu item, we'll need to add an item to the right-click context menu. Open up regedit.exe through the start menu search box, and then browse down to the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\sh ellex\ContextMenuHandlers\

Once there, you'll need to create a new key called {a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77 c8} with no value.

That should be the only thing you need to do. If you want to disable this, just delete the key.

Downloadable Registry Hack

You can choose to just download and use the registry hack files I've provided at the bottom of this article. Once you unzip the file, you should see two registry files:

EnablePinToStart.reg - Enable the menu
DisablePinToStart.reg - Disable the menu (deletes the key)
Using Pin to Start Menu

Find the folder you want to pin to your start menu, hold down the Shift key, and then right-click on the folder. You'll notice the new item for Pin to Start Menu.

I want to Create an invisible folder in Windows XP.

Asked by Ram Jain in Computers & Technology at   9:14 PM on August 24, 2008

raj u's Answer

well jain This is not a secure hack. It is designed to hide your files from some one who is browsing through files, not your system admin, not your computer hacker friends. Think of it like hiding your money under the mattress, if some one really wants to find it they will, but if they are not looking for it they wont find it. It’s a fun trick and it works best on your desktop (just remember where you placed it)

You ever have a folder on your computer that you really dont want any one to find? You can make this folder hidden but then you have to un-hide all the folders when ever you want to find it. So how can you make a folder truly invisible? Follow these simple steps and your unmentionables will stay that way.

1. Right click where ever you want the invisible folder to be and select create a new folder.

2. Right Click on the folder and hit rename. Erase the name of the folder so there is nothing there.

3. If you try to stop here windows will tell you that you need to provide a name. So to get around this… with the name field still active hold down ALT and press 0160 on the number pad (make sure Num Lock is on), release alt

You should now have a blank name with nothing but a folder next to it

4. Now click on the nameless folder and right click. Select Properties.

5. Go to the Customize tab.

6. Find and press the Change Icon button. Scroll through the icons until you find one that has no image.

4. Hit OK and you have an invisible folder!

With the invisible folder you can hide what ever undesirables you have. Be it video games at work, pictures of your family or anything else you can think of “wink”.

The folder will show up for a brief second if you put it on your desktop. For that reason it might be smart to place it inside a folder or amongst a group of folders.

Happy Hiding!

How to Add A New Tab in iGoogle

Asked by Ravi Gupta in Computers & Technology at   9:16 PM on August 24, 2008

raj u's Answer

well ravi gupta Tabs on iGoogle work a lot like tabs on a filing system or tabs on a Web browser. It helps you quickly navigate to the content you'd like to use. You may find this helps your iGoogle pages load faster, too.

Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 30 seconds
Here's How:
Go to your iGoogle page at www.google.com/ig.
Look in the upper left corner of your browser window, just above your Gadgets. You'll find a tab labeled Home and a link labeled Add a tab. Click on the Add a tab link.
Choose a name for your new tab. You'll be prompted to add it immediately.
By default, the "I'm feeling lucky" box is selected. You can keep this option on if you want Google to automatically populate your tab with gadgets based on your tab's name. For example, if you name your tab "Games," Google automatically adds several popular games to your tab.
Deselect this option if you don't want Google to automatically add any gadgets.

That's it. To navigate between tabs, just click on the tab.
To add gadgets to a tab, make sure you're on the appropriate tab and then click on the Add stuff link on the right side of the window.

An iGoogle

Want Disable Expiring Of Windows Passwords?

Asked by Ram Jain in Computers & Technology at   9:11 PM on August 24, 2008

raj u's Answer

well jain The problem comes in when your local user account has been set to expire the password, because there's not an obvious place to change that setting in Vista, although it's easy to do. Note that this problem doesn't exist in the Home editions of Windows.

Open the Local Users and Groups administration panel by typing in lusrmgr.msc into the start menu search box. (or the Run box on XP) Select "Users" in the left hand pane, and then double-click your user account in the list.

On this screen you'll find the "Password never expires" checkbox.

Just make sure the box is checked and you won't be forced to change your password anymore.

Windows XP/Vista Home Users

If you are using the Home edition of Windows, you can download User Manager for XP/Vista Home from XPHomeTools. It's a shareware software, but you can use the trial version to disable expiration.
