Define CSS

A style sheet format for HTML documents endorsed by the World Wide Web Consortium. CSS1 (Version 1.0) provides hundreds of layout settings that can be applied to all the subsequent HTML pages that are downloaded. CSS2 (Version 2.0) adds support for XML, oral presentations for the visually impaired, downloadable fonts and other enhancements.

CSS3 has been in ongoing development for several years and extends Version 2 with vertical text, elaborate borders and backgrounds, user interaction and speech, among the highlights.

The complete computer made up of the CPU, memory and related electronics (main cabinet), all the peripheral devices connected to it and its operating system. Computer systems fall into two broad divisions: clients and servers. Client machines fall into three categories from low to high end: laptop, desktop and workstation. Servers range from small to large: low-end servers, midrange servers and mainframes.

A computer system is sized for the total user workload based on (1) number of users sharing the system simultaneously, (2) type of work performed (interactive processing, batch processing, CAD, engineering, scientific), and (3) amount of storage. Following are the components of a computer system and their significance.

Commercial software is software, that is designed and developed for sale to the general public. It is an application program developed for sale to the general public. Packaged software is generally designed to appeal to a large audience of users, and although the programs may be tailored to a user's taste by setting various preferences, it is not as individualized as custom-designed and custom-programmed software.
