what is nuclear deal?

Asked by rama in News & Current Affairs at   4:12 PM on July 16, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

The Nuclear deal is ment to open the Indian nuclear power generation market to western(US, Europian, Australian)countries. This will mean companies like GE, Alstom, Simence etc will get orders and money. This deal will also mean that India's nuclear programme will remain slave to the uranium supplying cartel of countries.
India has one of the largest reserves of Thorium. A thorium based nuclear programme is what India needs to work on and perfect. Besides the supply, thorium has much shorter cooling period and its waste is much less radioactive.
The nuclear deal is against India's long term interests.

Asked by Neelam Jani in News & Current Affairs at   6:18 PM on July 17, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

It was wrong on the part of parents to do so at the very onset. They should have asked the police and the school adminisrtation to take action first. And if they didn't, then they had a legitimate reason to vent their anger.

kya atomic deal hoga?

Asked by Gentle Amit in News & Current Affairs at   2:52 PM on July 17, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

No. This government will not survive the vote of confidence. Even if apocryphal whispers of a lot of money being exchanged for the votes( AB Bardhan of CPI has admited the rate of 25 crores for each vote)is to be believed, the votes would be short and the Atomic deal may not happen.

what about ashram, satyasai, kalkiguru, ravi sankar need to meet god?

Asked by hk in Puja & Rituals at   7:07 PM on July 16, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

Without Guru, it is quite difficult to realise the God. Our scriptures repeatedly tell us that. But then, Guru has to be personal. The great men that you have listed are indeed great men. And they must have been real Guru's to some, if not all, who follow them!
Even in the revealed-to-one-man, based-on-one-book, Abharamnic religions there are 'gurus' who are addressed diferently.

Great Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw passed away last week. Kya Indian ministers ko ek national holiday nahi dena chahiye tha. after all he is the pride of india?

Asked by Aryan Gusain in News & Current Affairs at   12:47 PM on June 30, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

A National holiday is much less than the least that desires to be done for him. We need to erect a national memorial, much greater than the Rajghat and other memorials all put togethar fo r him. We should re-name Aurangzeb road as Manekshaw road in New Delhi just to begin with.
