is rupee appreciation good for indian economy?

Asked by Pratishtha in News & Current Affairs at   11:03 AM on May 29, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

Appreciation of Rupee coupled with increasing inflation makes a difficult combination, especially for the exporters who are get less Rupees on their sales, and they have to pay more for them on their local goods and services. Government should have helped the exporters in these times by giving them some extra incentive, which it could have chanalised from many of useless and financially draining schemes.

Is the declaration of Nepal as republic a victory for people? Please react!

Asked by vaidhar y in News & Current Affairs at   5:20 PM on May 30, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

It is the victory of Christian prosylytisation and Maoist terror combine; it is the victory of China's policy and faliure of India. A visit to Nepal reveals the grand design run by Catholic communists, that India( under the rule of First italian Queen of India, a Catholic herself) foolishly overlooked and offered Nepal on a platter to China.

Is police doing its JOB? If ARMY can do its job properly, then why not Police?

Asked by Umed Bisht in News & Current Affairs at   5:13 PM on May 30, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

Army is also not above the mark. There is a lot of secrecy that does not allow people to know the doings inside the army. Besides, army is not dealing with people in day to day basis. The policing system in India needs to be overhauled completely, before expecting it to improve.
So do not think army is very good and police is bad, both are affected by the rot.

What will be the possible solution for 'The Reservation Problem'?

Asked by Umed Bisht in News & Current Affairs at   5:10 PM on May 30, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

Yes there is a solution, but no politician would even suggest it, leave aside attempt it. And even if one attempts it, all others would oppose it to loot the vote bank.
Reservation of any kind should be based on the economic condition of the person, not the cast of the person.

how do I know that a Rudraskh is genuine?

Asked by Hari Iyer in Puja & Rituals at   2:07 AM on May 28, 2008

Shyam M's Answer

It is sad that a 'cut and paste ' answer to your question has references to some pictures, which obviously are not there. Now the real test of rela rudraksh:
1.The real rudraksh sits down on the base of the water.
2. The real rudraksh is round, barring 3 & 4 'mukhi' rudrakshs, which are slightly drum shaped, or visually seem so due to the presence of the 'mukhs'.
3. To find out the actual 'mukhs' of any rudraksh, you will have to sacrifice one bead. Buy two beads of any number of 'mukhs', randomly pick one and cut it transversly from the center, the number of lines emerging from the center of the rudraksh till the outer skin of the bead represent the actual 'mukhs'. If you find the declaration and the number of lines correct, consider the seller to be genuine.
4. The flat two 'mukhi' and cresent shaped one 'mukhi' rudrakshs being sold in the market are not real rudrakshs, they are called 'bhadraksh'. The real rudraksh beads HAVE to be ROUND.
