How can chicken be reheated without drying out?

Cover it tightly in aluminum foil, and ideally add a couple spoons of either chicken stock or water to the pan you're heating it in. And of course, don't heat it too long.

6 months tops because procedssed foods will breakdown and become'rancid' and lose the taste even if frozen. 3-4 months is really the best time to use one.

The small back burner of your stove is the outlet for heat from your oven, so if you have something in the oven put the pot of rice on the small burner without the element on.

You can also put your rice in an oven safe dish with lid on it and put the oven on very low (125 degrees F.) If you are in a hurry, put the rice in a microwavable dish with lid and heat for 2 minutes (test) and if not warm enough add another minute until you get the desired temperature. It is wise when doing this in the microwave that you put in 1/4 cup of water, mix with rice or the rice will come out too dry.

The best way to take all the fear of over-cooked or under-cooked rice or keeping it warm is to buy a rice steamer and they aren't that expensive.

If frozen then a 4 lb. beef roast will cook faster. Put the oven up to 400 (lid on roaster) for 20 - 30 minutes and sear, then put the temperature down to 350 and cook 15 minutes per pound.

If the 4 lb. beef roast is thawed then sear as above and cook for 20 minutes per pound.

Cooking small roasts can be difficult if you use standard rules of thumb like 15 min per lb so here's a better way: Thaw the roast. Preheat oven to 450F. Coat the roast with a little olive oil, salt & pepper. When the oven is ready, put in the roast. Let it cook for 15 min. Then pour 1/2 of chicken broth or white wine IN THE PAN, not over the roast. Cook another 5-10 minutes until it is cooked to your liking 135-med rare, 145-med, 155 med-well. Juice makes excellent gravy Good luck!
