How do you get big pecs without going to the gym?

Sure, you can build up pecs right at home, all you need is the right kind of exercises.

Pushups only target some of the pecs muscles - have you tried different kinds of pushups?
i.e. shoulder width, broad, one-handed, staggered, clapping, alternate (left-right hand forward-backwards and switching)? By varying the width of your arms with respect to your body, you can target slightly different strands of muscles within your pecs.

Please remember to co-develop your back shoulder muscles with your frontal pecs though - over concentration on the front may lead to compensation problems for your back muscles.

The number of repetitions is dependent on your body conditioning. But please remember if you are only using your body weight the most you can get is better definition. If you need to build up mass - you'd need to add weights and have a proper diet.

It is just easier to get to weight training in a gym, at home you'd need to improvise. You can lift heavy objects at home - get a bar and attach two pails to its end - find a comfortable bench to lie on. Add water to the pails so that you get the desired weight and presto you have a simple bench press thingie.

Get two tables that are the same height and put them slightly wider than your shoulder width apart, put your hands on the table top, bend your knees a bit and you get yourself a place where you can do dips as a form of exercises.

You can also invent resistance exercise by using rubber bands or elastic bands (keep adding them until you get the desired resistance you want) - you can then pull, stretch or do all sorts of muscle exercises with these.

The main reason why people go to the gym is to avoid a lot of the hassle of creating, maintaining the ad-hoc equipment above. Best of luck though - one other thing to watch out for is not to overexercise (42 pushups in 1.5 minutes is not too good for your joints) - it would be far better to do 30 pushups say in one minute rest for five and do another 30 rather than force yourself to do too vigorously.

Why did your hair lock when removing braids?

You guys clearly aren't experienced with dreadlocks, why would you respond to this and say shaving your head is the only way if you have never taken the time to research it?

I'm sorry for some of these ignorant answers, it amazes me what people come up with on here. You certainly DO NOT have to shave your head. You could cut the dreads until they are a few inches long or even just start with your original length then comb them out. Yes, you can comb out dreads, at any length and any age. I've seen a girl that had dreads for 6 years and she was able to comb them out and her hair was in decent condition.

Is there a way to get rid of stretch marks completely? The best course of action is to avoid getting them in the first place, if possible. Stretch marks have two primary causes: physical and hormonal. Stretch marks can be caused by extreme stretching of the skin, which keeps the skin from returning to its original condition. This extreme stretching is commonly the result of gaining large amounts of weight in a short period of time. Bodybuilders, pregnant women, and adolescents that have been through rapid growth spurts, often develop stretch marks. Stretch marks can also result from hormonal issues like continual steroid use or Cushing's syndrome. Some stretch marks result from both the physical stretching and the horn

Stretch marks are deep scars, or scar tissue, that appears as stripes on the skin. They are commonly found on the stomach, legs, buttocks, and breasts, but may appear nearly anywhere. Extreme stretching of the skin causes tiny skin fibers to tear. There is no known remedy to repair these fibers, though there are many products and treatments available that can help lighten stretch marks and improve the look of the skin.

Depending on the severity and location of the scar tissue, exfoliation may be helpful. Removing layers of dead skin and unveiling soft, fresh skin can help minimize the appearance of stretch marks. You can use oatmeal or baking soda to make your own preparations, or choose from the many scented, specially prepared formulas available. Be sure to apply plenty of moisturizer to keep the skin soft and hydrated after exfoliation.

Different types of creams and lotions promise to improve the texture of the skin and make stretch marks less noticeable. Many will provide some relief, but certain preparations are meant for use only on newer scars. Using these preparations on severe stretch marks, or those more than a year old, may not show marked improvement. Read the labels carefully to determine which products are best for you.

For severe stretch marks, skin peels or laser treatments may be necessary. They can be somewhat expensive, and they can cause minor to moderate pain. These methods cannot actually repair torn fibers in the skin, but they are reported to dramatically improve the appearance of stretch marks for many people.

Currently there is no way to actually repair damaged skin fibers, so one alternative to get rid of stretch marks is to remove them. This requires cosmetic surgery. During surgery, the skin is cut away; though in some instances, doctors cannot remove all of the damage. An added benefit of cosmetic surgery is the ability to pull the remaining skin taut. This will also improve the appearance of stretch marks.

Even though it is difficult to remove or repair stretch marks, you can make a drastic improvement in their appearance using one or more of the listed products or treatments. It may be helpful to discuss the different options with your healthcare provider.

Treat sunscreen as you would moisturizer; apply it beforehand. Generally speaking you should use moisturizer before applying makeup anyway, so use the sunscreen instead.

HEAVY is a general-purpose heavy atom refinement routine. Keywording inputs are most conveniently entered using a script file. Note that any values previously defined do not need to be specified. If you run HEAVY a second time without quitting the main program and do not specify any new parameters, the routine will start where it left off and carry out another set of refinements of the same type that you specified the last time you ran it. Note also that average residuals are maintained throughout. This means that if you want to refine a completely new set of data, you should start the program over.

An easy way to get a file containing all the keywords you can use for HEAVY is to edit the file generated by running HEAVY specifiying "newfile heavy.new".

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
