I am 16 years old, my hairs are very rough and are getting less and less shiny day by day. What shall i do?

Asked by Samvid in Beauty & Fashion at   7:49 PM on June 18, 2008

Kashish k's Answer

Since your hairs are very rough then you should try for the following home remedies in order to get healthy & shiny hairs-

-It is better to apply castor oil for a healthy growth of hair.

-Wash hair with tea once in a week.

-Apply besan in the hair and wash it with water drained from the cooked rice.

-Soak a handful of gooseberry in a cup of milk for two hours. Make it as a paste and apply in the hair.

-Apply the mixture of an egg white, 2 spoon of castor oil, 1 spoon glycerin, in the scalp and hair. Wash it after some time.

-Massage hair with warm coconut oil an hour before washing. Let it soak. Cover your head with a hot towel and wash your hair after an hour or so.

-Boil a few hibiscus flowers in coconut oil. Filter and use this hair oil to control hair loss and thinning.

-Do a 'steam-towel-wrap' once in a while, if your cuticles are damaged, as this steaming opens out the pores and absorbs the oil.

-Deep condition with curd, beer and egg.

-Mix a little vinegar in warm water and rinse your hair with this solution. This will add bounce to dull and lifeless hair.

-Soak 1 teaspoon fenugreek in curd and keep it for a night. Have it in the next morning.

-Boil coconut oil with the juices of curry leaves, basil, hibiscus flower and gooseberry. Apply on hair, keep it for sometime and rinse.

-Egg white and curd is a good conditioner for hair.

-Take a cup of coconut and mustard oils. Soak half a cup of curry leaves in the oil mixture and keep it for a night. Next morning, heat on a slow fire till the curry leaves turn crisp. Remove from heat and add two to three camphor balls. Allow oil to cool and then strain. Apply oil to hair roots using cotton wool along the parting and massage in circular movements. Leave the oil overnight and shampoo the next morning. Repeat twice a week.

-Add a lemon peel to a 'shikakai' and 'amla' mixture while washing your hair.

Name the biggest hit of 2008 in bolywood ?

Asked by Partho in Movies at   11:16 AM on May 28, 2008

Kashish k's Answer

The biggest hit of 2008 is Jodha Akbar.

Jodhaa-Akbar is a film released on February 15, 2008. It is directed and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker, the director of the Academy Award-nominated Lagaan (2001). It stars Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles.

The film centers around the romance between the Muslim Mughal Emperor Akbar, played by Hrithik Roshan and his Hindu wife, Jodhabai, played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

It requires courage, prowess, patience, aptitude, knowledge, passion and of course, loads of currency to attempt a movie like Jodhaa Akbar. But more than anything else, it requires your firm belief in the subject, the belief to attempt a historical when historicals are considered an absolute no-no in the industry, the belief to spend almost Rs 40 crore in a film that could go either ways.
Set in the sixteenth century, Jodhaa Akbar is a love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. Little did Akbar [Hrithik Roshan] know that when he married Jodhaa [Aishwarya Rai Bachchan], he would be embarking upon a new journey — the journey of true love.

Right from the costumes to the sets to the dialogues, everything gives you a feel of being in the bygone era. Even the pure Hindi and untarnished Urdu dialogues do not leave any scope for complaint. The screenplay of Jodhaa Akbar maintains historical relevance, yet never leaves you asking for more in terms of contemporary entertainment.

REVIEW OF MOVIE JANNAT

Asked by vivek sharma in Movies at   4:45 PM on May 21, 2008

Kashish k's Answer

Jannat is the story of a man caught in a quagmire of crime and consumerism as he struggles to find heaven on earth.

The movie is a good attempt. The story line is not the conventional bollywood movie. It potrays that in this world one will have to have a dark side to earn money and be successful. But where the movie scores the most is the emotional quotient.

What was the reason for taare zameen par to become super hit?

Asked by Shatakshi in Movies at   1:27 PM on May 28, 2008

Kashish k's Answer

Taare Zameen Par isn't one of those films that merely entertains, but also enlightens. Taare Zameen Par is one film that makes you peep into a child's mind and how some parents, in their pursuit to make them 'stronger' academically, forget that there's hitherto untapped talent that needs to be nourished and encouraged.

Taare Zameen Par drives home a strong message, making you empathize with the kid, compelling you to draw parallels with your life, making one realize that some of the renowned geniuses were once scoffed at, but the world had to bow down to their intellect later.

The story is unusual but not unknown. The message that the story tries to convey is already known to us, but most of us just remain ignorant to it.

Aamir Khan, the director, has handled the delicate theme with dexterity and precision. He has not just succeeded in making every child a hero but actually helped us see a child in ourselves. Just like no man is perfect no matter what position he commands in the society, every child with both their ability and inabilities is special and talented in their own way. The movie isn’t just about a child suffering from dyslexia and his challenges, it’s also about how parents get carried away by today’s competitive world and fail to understand their child’s dreams and nurture their inborn talents.

Unlike any other enlightening entertainer which focuses more on the hero, Aamir has given the child more footage and captured every emotion deftly thereby focusing on its root cause and maintaining its significance throughout the movie. A number of sequences leave you moist eyed and you feel deeply attached to the child. At the end of the movie you are left speechless and spellbound.

This makes the movie a super hit.
