Its botanical name is Myrrhis odorata.
Sweet cicely has a sweet flavor similar to anise and is used for indigestion.
It is a constituent of perfumes and incense, was highly valued in ancient times.
The scent can also be used in mixtures of incense, to provide an earthy element to the overall smell, and as an additive to wine.

Mix 1 rounded tablespoon arrowroot powder into just a little cool water. Add to 1 cup gravy, or other sauce. Stir constantly over high heat, about 10-15 minutes. Gravy will thicken suddenly. Once thickening occurs, STOP STIRRING so as not to break down the bonding and thin out the gravy.
Arrowroot is a wonderful, clear thickener used in gravies, sauces and pie fillings. It is also more easily digested than other thickening agents.

Its botanical name is Potentilla tormentilla.
Mainly its leaf and root r in use n it is used as an first aid medicine.
It contains tannins. Tannins are a series of botanically produced chemicals that have been used by human beings for centuries.
When you apply tormentil to your skin in the case of a wound, its tannins have the ability to form an eschar or false scar, pulling the proteins together to create a seal. This closes off blood vessels, deadens nerve endings, and prevents bacteria from entering the body.

Main parts which r used r its Young twigs.
In bronchial catarrh Thuja combines expectoration with a systemic stimulation beneficial if there is also heart weakness.
Thuja is given internally for cancer and for the pains of cancer it is applied externally, when possible, occasionally with good results.
