about hair falling

Asked by Asha Rani in Personal Health at   2:03 PM on October 20, 2008

Meera Jadhav's Answer

Hi Asha, hair health depends on scalp health and genetics. Important factors are diet, nutrition and hair care and grooming; however you don't have control on genetics. Diet, nutrition and scalp health can be controlled to prevent dandruff and stop hair from falling out; a good diet will promote hair regrowth. Use proven hair loss products as hair loss remedy. Our recomended preparation is excellent as hair loss remedy.
The hair loss could be due to n number of reasons. Poor nutrition, lack of hair care, excessive chemical and genetic baldness are few causes of hair loss. I am giving you some of the home remedies for hair loss.
Massage coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel into the scalp and hair. Leave it for ½ hour, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat 3 times a week.
Massage honey with egg yolk into the scalp and hair. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then rinse
Eat a protein and vitamin rich diet including green leafy vegetables, carrots, soybean, mango, dried apricots, whole grain cereals, sprouts, lentils, yeast, wheat germ, milk, yogurt and buttermilk in the daily diet. If you are non-vegetarian then include eggs, chicken and fish in the diet.
You also must consult a Trichologist who would find out the exact reason for hair loss and help you with your problem.

i am a vegetarian and eat almost all healthy stuff. But my food choices are around carbs and vegetables. What should I do to gain muscles?

Asked by shiv awasthi in Fitness at   9:21 PM on October 13, 2008

Meera Jadhav's Answer

Hi, in order to build muscles you need to increase proteins in the diet. There are lots of vegetarian sources of proteins which will help you to gain the muscle mass. To accelerate the muscle gain you also need to do intense weight training. I am giving you some tips to gain weight which you can follow:
1. Include milk, milk products, nuts, soy, sprouts, dals and pulses in your diet.
2. For quick results you can include protein powder in your diet. Whey proteins give best results and they do not have any side effects. You can try optimum or whey or serious mass.
3. Eat small and frequent meals.
4. Also follow rigorous weight training exercises (lifting weights)
5. Focus more on weight training exercises of all the muscles.
6. Proper rest is also important for weight gain, so sleep for about 8 hours at night.
Follow the diet and exercise routine religiously.
