Hi Sonii, the manual treadmill sidetracks from those usual mechanized exercising devices, because here you exert the force to run it. If the action is correct and if you are well geared with proper sports shoes then it shall not harm your knee or ankle joint.

Hi Aditya, eggs are an important source of protein, essential vitamins and minerals and can make a significant contribution to a healthy diet.

Eggs are an excellent source of protein. Egg protein is of high biological value as it contains all the essential amino acids needed by the human body. Eggs therefore complement other food proteins of lower biological value by providing the amino acids that are in short supply in those foods. 12.5% of the weight of the egg is protein and it is found in both the yolk and the albumen. Although protein is more concentrated around the yolk, there is in fact more protein in the albumen.
11.2% of the egg content is fat. The fat of an egg is found almost entirely in the yolk; there is less than 0.05% in the albumen.

Approximately 17% of an egg’s fatty acids are polyunsaturated, 44% monounsaturated and only 32% saturated.

Hi, for our nervous systems to work properly, sleep is needed. One must sleep for 6 to 8 hours at night. Sleep deprivation makes a person drowsy and unable to concentrate the next day. It also leads to impairment of memory and physical performance and reduced ability to carry out mathematical calculations. If sleep deprivation continues, hallucinations and mood swings may develop.

Hi sunil, it is difficult to gain height at this age. Height is genetically predetermined. Boys gain maximum height till the age of 21 only. If you are above 21 years of age then it will be difficult to gain height. You may try doing pull ups, and some stretching exercises. These may help you to add on few inches. Also eat a protein and vitamin rich diet including green leafy vegetables, carrots, soybean, mango, dried apricots, whole grain cereals, sprouts, lentils, yeast, wheat germ, milk, yogurt and buttermilk in the daily diet. If you are non-vegetarian then include eggs, chicken and fish in the diet.

Hi Chandan, weight loss could be painless if you are determined and have a strong will power. I would suggest do not hurry up with your weight loss results. Quick weight loss are not long lasting and neither they are safe. In order to reduce excess weight, you need to eat fewer calories and also burn extra calories through an exercises schedule. Healthy diet and exercise is the best way to reduce excess weight. Giving you some tips to reduce excess weight:
1. Do aerobic exercises (walking/cycling/swimming) to burn extra calories and a weight training workout to help tighten and strengthen the muscles.
2. Do brisk walking, cycling or swimming for 30- 45 minutes thrice a week.
3. Perform weight training exercises on alternate days.
4. Eat low fat, low calorie diet.
5. Include variety of low fat foods in the diet.
6. Include green leafy veggies, fruits, salads, nuts, low fat milk, and low fat paneer.
7. Avoid oily, fatty, junk and processed foods.
8. Drink plenty of water.
Remember losing 2 to 3 kgs per month is advisable and it’s healthy too!

Hi Chandu, What exactly are these black spots on your face? If you do not know what is causing them, you should visit your doctor, as you will need to find out what is causing them in order to stop their development and possibly get rid of the ones that have already developed.

If the black spots you refer to are scars that have been left by pimples or some other infection, then unfortunately there is nothing much that you can do to get rid of them. Scars are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to get rid of completely. There is no known treatment to get rid of scars apart from surgery, which of course is needed only for severe scars. At the most, your scars will slowly fade over time, so you will just need to be patient. There is however no harm in trying some home remedies — vitamin E oil and aloe vera gel are helpful in treating most skin problems, so they help the scars to fade more quickly. In addition, avoid using any harsh products on your skin, as they will damage your skin further and slow the healing process. If you are still suffering from pimples, you should avoid scratching or plucking them, as this will cause infection and more black spots.
